January 27th 2-4 pm - I will be in the Phillips Collection to talk about the To The East exhibit which chronicles the rise of public murals in DC, with a focus on the earliest murals east of the river and the artists and organizations that brought them into the community.

On November 3rd, the Community Heritage Showcase will feature Cory Lee Stowers’ project To the East: The Rise of Public Murals in Wards 7 and 8.

This project will focus on the groundbreaking artists who painted the first public murals east of the river, highlighting the stories of those who sought to use art to uplift their community.

Don’t miss the chance to talk to the creator of this project himself and learn more about this important piece of DC cultural history.
