After 17 remarkable years at Film Pittsburgh of building the Teen Screen program, we want to celebrate Lori Sisson's retirement. Lori's vision took Teen Screen from a few yearly screenings during the JFilm Festival to a year-long, national education program that has brought impactful independent film to over 200,000 students.

Lori has connected classrooms with powerful stories, created meaningful opportunities for young people to engage with directors and experts, and helped educators bring new voices into their teaching. Teen Screen’s impact—on students, teachers, volunteers, filmmakers, and our entire community—is a direct reflection of Lori’s passion and leadership.

We wish Lori a wonderful retirement and good luck with, in her words, helping people "get back to recognizing, and promoting the importance of, what is good in people." From the staff, volunteers, and teachers whose work and lives you have enriched, thank you Lori!

Grateful to be back in the classroom along with Classrooms Without Borders, who brought Tony McAleer and director Peter Hutchinson's fantastic anti-hate programming into two schools this past week.
