Makings of Paradise

A whole outing dedicated to pickles? Count me in 😂🥒💚

My friend won two passes to Pickle Bash at Merry Pin through Yelp DC, and I got to join the pickle-filled fun this past Saturday!

An all-you-can-eat pickle bar, pickle inspired drinks, and vendors and stations even pickle inspired books! Loved getting to learn about their crafting space along the way ✨

The camera is tiny but the learning curve is not 🤣🎤📷 Rainy Sunday mic checks, questionable angles, and me cracking myself up.

A little practice for a dream I’ve had for a while: traveling, exploring, and letting art take me somewhere new. Not just creating art, but experiencing it, living it… becoming art ✨

I’ll be instructing this sip n paint! Lock in!! Raffle ends Sunday! 💛💛✨✨✨

WE DID THAT. 🥹🎨🚗💛

Chrome & Canvas: Street Machines & Art Dreams has officially come to a close.

From opening the gallery and sitting down for our Artist Talk to bringing the experience outside with cars, live painting, creativity and community, watching this idea become something people could actually walk through, participate in and experience was special.

The entire concept started with one connection: cars are art too.

And by the end, we had artwork on the walls, artwork under the hood, artwork being created in real time and people coming together around all of it.

Thank you to our artists, car owners, volunteers, vendors, guests and everyone who supported the vision. 💛

Special love to DMV Auto Alliance for collaborating with me throughout this experience and Bernadette Dare / for capturing the story through these photos. 📸

Chrome & Canvas 2026. That’s a wrap. 🏁

Okayyyy now that I can actually look back at it… I really produced this. 😂🥹💛

And painted.
And curated.
And promoted.
And coordinated.
And problem-solved.
And probably ran across that parking lot 87 times. 😭

Chrome & Canvas challenged me as both an artist and an organizer, but it also showed me how much Makings of Paradise has grown.

There were beautiful moments, stressful moments, lessons I will absolutely be taking with me 😂, new relationships and a whole lot of creativity.

But seeing people painting, checking out the cars, connecting with one another and enjoying something that once only existed as an idea in my head?

Worth it.

I’m leaving this chapter with more experience, stronger boundaries and an even bigger imagination for whatever I create next.

Thank you to everybody who genuinely poured into this with me. 💛

Chrome & Canvas: CLOSED.
Makings of Paradise: very much still creating. 🎨✨
