The Carlos Chávez Choral D.C., based in Washington, D.C., is a musical, educational, artistic, and community-centered project under the direction of Maestro Antonio Espinal. As the resident choir of the Mexican Cultural Institute, it is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of works by composers of Mexican and Latin American origin, embracing a variety of musical styles. The choir celebrates the cultural richness of the region, including popular rhythms such as bolero, tango, danzón, and salsa, among others. was born from the passion of Mexican artists Antonio Espinal and Patricia Meneses to reconnect with their roots and language through music.
