I've been needing a custom backplate for a while now, but had an amazing guitarist in town that needed to play this. So I bit the bullet and tried to make one out of plexi, but the plexi didnt survive the drilling. Ended up putting it together with just the plastic backplate and the glass tolerated it just fine, just in time to meet him backstage 😊 I think we may have found this guy a new home with one of my favorite bands EVER!!!

I've been needing a custom backplate for this glass body guitar for a while now, but had an amazing guitarist in town that NEEDED to play this. So I bit the bullet and tried to make one out of plexi, but the plexi didnt survive the drilling so i put it together with just the plastic backplate and the glass tolerated it just fine. Good news! The cavitectomy and capillary splice was successful and the patient is recovering nicely on a manditory bedrest before the re-capitation because here at Instrumental Glass Memorial Hospital, the patient comes first.
