Novarium

Before our rendition of the Type O Negative classic “Christian Woman” landed on SiriusXM, there was “Strangelove”—our tribute to Depeche Mode.

Unless you picked up a copy of our first album, Omicron, there’s a good chance you’ve never heard this one. Until now, it has never been released digitally.

We only performed “Strangelove” live a handful of times, making this track a bit of a deep cut from the Novarium archives.

Now, for the first time digitally, here it is.

Enjoy and share our take on this Depeche Mode classic! Depeche Mode Strangelove-The Depeche Mode Experience

In 2018, we ventured to Deep End Studio in Baltimore, MD with Tony Corelli to record what would become the “Stain of A Soul” EP.
It would be a bit of a departure from our previous offering, but we ended up paying homage to the green man himself (Peter Steele) and Type O Negative, as we recorded our rendition of their classic, “Christian Woman.”
To date, it’s a mainstay at shows, on Sirius XM Liquid Metal, and our most downloaded track.
Here is a look at the guitar sound that makes the track; a combination of a Peavey 5150, a Bogner Ubershall, a Mesa cab, and a Genz Benz cab.

10 years ago today, NOVARIUM played its first show ever. We’ve endured a lot since then, but through it all we’ve done it our way. Thanks to every one of you.
Cheers to more new music- our way.
