I am so thankful for the wonderful teachers I have had at Northside Elementary! Today was not only my last day of school, but my last day as an elementary student. Next school year, I will be attending junior high. However, I will never forget my teachers who has gotten me this far. For graduation, they even had to make sure I wore a pageant dress and my hair was perfect. I am so honored to be awarded the All A's Honor Roll Award for the 2023/2024 school year!

April is Autism Awareness Month. April 2nd is World Autism Day. Hello all! My name is Aurora Moreland and I am your Miss Southern States American Pre-teenager. I also have autism. Please show support and inclusion for those who are on the spectrum. Autism is different in everyone. Not one person is the same. I am nonverbal, but I communicate in my own way. I let people know that Autism is not who I am, but part of me that makes me UNIQUE! If you ever get the chance to meet me, please come say hello and get to know me! You may notice that I cover my eyes in certain light and outside. I am not being rude or disrespectful. It is part of my sensory processing disorder that is also a part of my Autism. I also do a lot of stimming. You may see me shake my hands, but it's ok, I am processing my enviroment. So please show your support for the Autism Community!

This past week my mom and I made pillowcases for 2 students at my school who is battling Cancer. It was such an honor and privilege to do this for Crew and Jase. They are true superhero's and I will continue to pray for them and the family. This project was part of Ryan's Cases for Smiles! The pillowcases are superhero's and they are filled with goodies and cards.

GO GAMECOCKS!!! Last weekend I had the honor to go to a USC Gamecock football game. I had a blast! Last year at nationals, my state costume represented the Palmetto Bowl (USC vs. Clemson). Tonight, is the game of the year for us!!! It's Palmetto Bowl Day in South Carolina!!!!
