Post-4"Dom Raso joined the United States Navy at approximately 17 years old, determined to become a Navy SEAL. He completed Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S), SEAL Qualification Training (SQT), and additional training, including parachute school. During his early career, he served with SEAL Team 2 and deployed to Afghanistan at just 19 years old. In his first deployment, he described being positioned in the lead vehicle operating a .50-caliber machine gun, an experience that exposed him to operational responsibilities at a very young age.
As he gained experience, Raso developed an interest in surveillance and later attended sniper school. He continued building his skills through operational deployments and specialized training while preparing for selection to the Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGRU), also known as SEAL Team Six.
In The Shawn Ryan Show, Episode 94, Raso explained that he began pursuing DEVGRU screening at approximately 21–22 years old. His troop chief initially warned him that he might be too young and that he needed more operational experience. Raso continued the process, completing the required screening after returning from his second deployment. Although he initially received word that he had not made the selection cutoff, two other candidates subsequently dropped out, allowing him to enter the program.
At 23 years old, Raso began Green Team, DEVGRU’s selection and training process for prospective operators. He later joined Gold Squadron at the same age. He recalled looking at the team room board and realizing that the youngest operators he could identify were approximately 25 or 26 years old. He was surprised to have arrived at the command so early in his career. Based on his own account, he was among the youngest publicly known operators to reach Gold Squadron at that age, although a definitive record establishing him as the youngest ever is not publicly available.
During his time with DEVGRU, Raso participated in multiple deployments and contributed to research and development, equipment improvements, and combatives training. He worked alongside fellow operators, including Adam Brown, on projects involving equipment and layering systems. Their collaborative work included developing waterproof bags and improving practical equipment solutions for operational use.
Raso spent approximately 12 years in the Navy SEAL community. His career included combat deployments during the Global War on Terror, specialized training, and work supporting operational readiness. Specific mission details and a complete list of his personal military decorations are not fully documented in reliable public sources, so individual awards should not be attributed to him without confirmation.
After leaving the Navy, Raso transitioned into entrepreneurship and founded Dynamis Alliance, later expanding his work through Crush Everything. His businesses focus on tactical equipment, training, combatives, personal preparedness, and mindset. Through interviews and educational content, he continues to share lessons from his military career, emphasizing discipline, resilience, personal responsibility, faith, and the importance of preparing for challenges.
