The Chris “Loops” Seikaly Foundation is expanding its collaboration with the Pontifical Mission in Lebanon and, through coordination with the Vatican’s team and the papal envoy in Lebanon, has secured partnerships with ten supermarkets in the villages of Debel, Rmeich, and Ain Ebel, with additional locations to follow.

This initiative will provide families across southern Lebanon with vouchers that can be used at these fully stocked local supermarkets, allowing them to purchase the food and essentials they need as they work to sustain themselves and to rebuild their lives.

An incredible project made possible through persistence, partnership, and determination in the face of tremendous challenges. Above all, our deepest respect goes to the families who remained in their villages and continue to demonstrate extraordinary resilience and strength. 🙏🏽❤️😇

Today is Chris Loops’ birthday. Eight years have now passed since we lost him in November 2017, yet his spirit and energy continue to live through all of us and through the work being done in his name.

Chris is the inspiration and namesake behind Loops Village, the Loops Foundation, and so many of the projects and acts of kindness that continue to grow year after year. This is who all of this work honors. This is whose memory we are trying to keep alive.

Happy 33rd birthday in heaven, Pop. 🙏🏽🎉
You are deeply missed here on earth, and forever loved. ❤️

That loop machine in the the lower shelf is where Chris got his nickname, “Loops.” It became part of his identity, and eventually inspired the name of the Loops Foundation and so many of the philanthropic endeavors we continue today in his honor.

Long before looping became mainstream, Chris was creating entire musical worlds on this machine. He would layer guitar, percussion, vocals, and different instruments one by one, building what sounded like a full band, yet it was all him. Artists like Monolink and FKJ have since popularized similar styles, but Chris was passionately experimenting with looping more than 10 years ago.

What made it so special was not just the music itself, but the creativity and emotion behind it. He could take a single note, a single sound, and build something immersive and alive from it.

And this right here… this was the machine that started it all.

I also remember one of Chris’s Instagram posts where he spoke about the idea that if life were an infinite loop, that must mean that every moment has meant so much to you that you would willingly relive each moment again and again forever.

In many ways, Chris is still on a loop with all of us. Through his music, his spirit, his kindness, and now through the Loops Foundation and all the lives being touched in his memory, his energy continues endlessly forward. 🙏🏽❤️

Update!!: With the support of the Pontifical Envoy in Lebanon, LOOPS Foundation set out to deliver food and clean water to the Christian Village of Debel in South Lebanon, but worsening conditions forced us to turn back. The situation on the ground remains fragile, especially after the French peacekeepers with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) which were escorting the convoy were targeted. French Foreign Mininster Jean-Noël Barrot condemned the actions as “unacceptable” and called for an emergency UN Security Council meeting. 🙏🏽

In collaboration with the Pontifical Mission in Lebanon, LOOPS Foundation has mobilized to deliver essential nutritional food supplies, and fresh clean water to Christian villages in South Lebanon that are courageously holding on to their land and heritage.

For days, some villages have been completely cut off from the outside world.

Today, we received word of a hopeful breakthrough: a secure humanitarian corridor is being arranged, led by the Pontifical envoy and protected by the Lebanese Army. With God’s grace, this will allow us to deliver LOOPS food boxes and fresh water tomorrow to the village of Debel.

In moments like these, faith, resilience, and unity carry us forward.

We pray for safe passage, for protection over every soul involved, and for strength for those standing firm on their land. 🙏🏽❤️
