Ever feel like you need to blow off some steam? Maybe about the patriarchy and stuff? Highly recommend starting a band, writing a song, and singing your face off in a huge special national treasure historical landmark that’s been overthrown by said hateful patriarchy. 😡

3 weeks ago I got a dulcimer and have fallen completely in love. If I haven’t returned your texts or emails, it’s because I cannot pry myself away from her. I’ll be debuting this beauty on Saturday 5/16 at - accompanying on “California” by . Few seated tickets remain, so if you have been thinking of coming (and don’t wanna stand and the bar all night), I recommend committing and getting a ticket.

UNBOXING of my new CD delivery! A limited run double EP printing of “Goodbye Forever” & “Don’t Go Alone” together🩷 it’s been a long time since I’ve professionally printed a CD, but this DIY Queen wanted these 2 EPs to live together in a cute pink little package. I’ll be selling them for $10 in person/at shows, but if you venmo me $15 I’ll mail you one. (@ saracurtin on Venmo). I only printed 100 and I’ve already given one to my kids to play on the boombox in their bedroom, so get em while they last yall!

I have been singing this song in my bedroom mirror since high school. To get to perform it on the beautiful stage at The Barns at with , , and was a literal childhood dream come true. And 2 sold out nights in a row?! Thank you Chuck Sullivan and of Bandhouse Gigs for trusting me with this classic, and for letting me pay tribute to two absolute legends, and , with this special blended arrangement.

It was such an honor to be a part of the Sing For Justice community singing & sign making event last night at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Silver Spring hosted by . So many singers! So many justice seekers! It was just the perfect balm to be surrounded by voices powered by love and purpose. And particularly special to share it with my Vera, who stayed up way past her bedtime, and enthusiastically sang along, face lit up when she recognized the songs that I’d shared with her at home. “It’s okay to change your mind!” 🎶 “Hold on” 🎶 and other smash hits from the streets of Minneapolis.

Last night was definitely one for the scrapbook. Y’all ever played a concert in a CAVE before? brought the whole 7 member band down into Grand Caverns VA for a pretty epic way to spend Valentine’s Day. It was cold and damp and beautiful, and definitely the most unique load-in of our lives. Oh, and was there filming it, so the concert should be available to watch later this year!
