Not only has Alexandria been an integral part of the success of "A Strange Loop", she has also been a cornerstone of VOCA as our Associate Artistic Director. This is another exciting moment for VOCA, we’re proud to celebrate our sixth Helen Hayes Awards nomination!

The cast of “A Strange Loop” has earned a nomination for Outstanding Ensemble, recognizing the power, artistry, and heart this production brought to the stage. VOCA is in awe of the artists and storytellers whose work we are able to spotlight and continues to inspire audiences and strengthen our creative community.

In its first year of eligibility, VOCA earned six Helen Hayes Award nominations—a powerful recognition of work that could not have happened anywhere else. This is what it looks like when Deaf and BIPOC artists are fully supported: bold, resonant, high-caliber theater. Your gift sustains that momentum—directly supporting the artists VOCA champions—so more groundbreaking work can be created and shared with you - our community.

$50 – Supports ASL translation and resources across projects

This is a weekend for the community to gather through dance, storytelling and cultural preservation. Witness the works in progress of new choreography by Deaf BIPOC artists, including Mervin Primeaux O’Bryant. Join us for a sign poetry & movement workshop led by acclaimed artist, Fred Beam. Be part of the conversation by attending a panel discussion with Dr. Carolyn McCaskill and Evon Black as they discuss BASL and cultural preservation. This panel is moderated by Fred Beam.
