The Twisted Stitchers

The Twisted Stitchers This group of art quilters is from Warrenton, Va. Originally known as the Brumfield Quilters, this group of friends continues on today as the Twisted Stitchers.

In the summer of 2005, Rosanne Williamson, then the principal at Brumfield Elementary School in Warrenton, invited members of her staff to form a quilting group. The ladies have met regularly for the past eight years, sharing ideas, giving and receiving inspiration, and encouraging each other to travel down new creative pathways. Though two members are fine machine quilters, the group typically us

es more traditional techniques including hand quilting and appliqué. Always interested in new ideas, they enjoy several weekend retreats every year - sometimes working on a joint project for a local charity, other times learning a new technique. All of the quilts in this display are the original designs or interpretations of the quilter. We hope you enjoy viewing our quilts as much as we enjoyed creating them.
