Well… Neecy and I bundled up, cleared snow and ice off the car and went to Gaithersburg’s La Mex for Gary Beachboy’s Monday 7:30-10:30 Open Mic/Jam. It was 9F and felt colder! Checked FB for cancellation and didn’t see it. Should have called… 🤨

Mighty fine time tonight at the Wild Hare Cidery at The Grainery in Warrenton, VA. Bobby Hraves, Joelle, Vinny Gallo, Jimmy Guthrie, Bob Agnew, stev Pugh, Hibo Mariners, Spirit and Eric Misa all played! Great food, good hard cider, and tasty tunes!! Thanks ti manager Kim, host Vinny and coordinator Bob Agnew. We all wish Kent Vail a speedy recovery from his accidental stumble outside in the dark in his glasses, nose and mouth were injured!

Whoa yes! I am soooo grateful to the players and singers who showed up at last night's Guthrie Mishief's 4th Open Mic music event AT Craft&Crust in Re*****on - solid picking rockin' Bobbie Graves laid down a 7-song set following Jimmy Guthrie's sound test and 3-song set. Then Eric Misa stepped up with his inimitable vocal style and flawless playing. Then Steve Pugh settled us down with some classic Hank and Merl Haggard. And Jimmy Guthrie polished it off with more tribute to Kris Kristofferson and a final take on the Rolling Stones' classic 1964 hit, "Play With Fire."

Thanks also due to the owner Jim for drawing in a big house full of families eager to eat tasty pizza, and for giving us a large pizza instead of the personal one we asked for! And we always acknowledge the generous donations of Chris Rentch amd Paul Rogers to our collection of audio gear.

Singing, playing and listening to live music is a treat! This week Craft and Crust is letting kids 12 and under eat free from 5-8. We'll start sound check at 5:45 and the show at 6. Officially runs to 8 but tends to run a little longer. Come on by to listen, play or sing!

Mischief's up in Re*****on, Virginia, again Tuesday, October 1, 2024 6-8:45 at Craft and Crust Pizza, 204 E Main St, from 6-8:30 with no cover charge.

Look who showed up and ripped it up last time - the Music Legend and Mr. Classic County themselves.

Jimmy Guthrie and Neecy will host another family friendly free open mic event where you can watch or play or sing for free. Of course great pizza and drinks are available.

No karaoke, no comedy, no poetry, just live music. Signups start at 5:30, sound check at 5:45. Show at 6.

Listen, play, sing, or jam for free. No pre-recorded music (no karaoke), no comedy, no poetry. Players and a capella singers welcome.

Fresh back from Guthrie Lake Michigan... and in honor of Jimmy Guthrie's brother Bob's birthday... come play, listen and eat some *EXCELLENT* pizza at Re*****on, Virginia's "Craft and Crust Pizza Tavern," 204 E Main St on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 6 to 8 pm.

(This is a live MUSIC event at a family friendly venue. Sorry, but no karaoke, no poetry, no comedy, and no politics.) The music is free to perform or hear. The food and drink are, of course, sold by Craft and Crust.

And this time we'll be welcoming some awesome performers that missed the last one!
