I will say it until I’m blue in the face.

Rent’s due whether the room is packed or dead. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Slow nights are the quiet killer. You’re paying rent, paying staff, keeping the lights on, and the room isn’t earning. Do that two nights a week and it’s real money by the end of the quarter.

Citixen Joy fills those nights. Live music, real crowds, zero lift on your end. We book the talent, run production, and drive the promo. You just open the doors and serve.

New faces. Regulars. Money tonight and next month. Receipts to prove it.

Restaurant, bar, or retail in Greater Boston with a slow night and open space? DM “Activate” and let’s fill the room.

Dead hours are the quietest problem in placemaking, and this year I activated over 500% more of them. Revenue’s up 39% and the year’s not even done.

Honest part: I’ve been undercharging, and that changes now. Fair to the artists I work with, fair to me. Got an hour that goes dark? That’s exactly what I do. 🎪

17 genres. Two stages. One lineup. One city showing up for artists.

Grateful to have curated Waltham RiverBeat 2026, presented by Downtown Waltham Partnership.

Equity is a scored criterion, not a vibe. How we actually pick lineups at Citixen Joy.

That vacant space isn’t just sitting there. It’s costing you.💸

Empty commercial space drags down everything around it: foot traffic, tenant confidence, the block’s whole reputation. And the longer it chills, the harder it is to fill.

We flip that. Citixen Joy turns underused space into live music activations that make your property the reason people show up to the neighborhood. We handle booking, production, insurance, permits, and promo. You just open the doors.🚪

Empty units, gone. Tenants that stay. Receipts to prove it.

Own or manage commercial space in Greater Boston? DM “Activate” and let’s talk.💬

The night didn’t end when Root wrapped last Friday. Late Night Lounge picked up right where The Listening Room left off, taking the energy from The Substation straight to for the after-party to celebrate .🪩

This is the part of the series that doesn’t always make it into the recap: the after-hours space where the conversations get longer, the connections get realer, and the night becomes something you remember for reasons beyond the music. Massive shoutout to .queen, whose set absolutely slapped and carried the room. Thank you to Midnight Morning for hosting the vibe.

Two venues, one night, the full Citixen Joy experience.✌🏽

Last Friday on Juneteenth♥️🖤💚, Root brought The Listening Room spring series home.

Three nights over three months with one throughline: Nurture the Seed, Cultivate, and now Root, closing out at with ’ set that tied it all together.

This series was never just about the music. It was about building something that lasts, with venues, with collaborators, with artists who deserve the platform. Big thanks to Laura and The Substation team for the space, to Mob for the activations, and to everyone who showed up across the season.

Our stint at The Listening Room is done for now. What we built isn’t.🌱
