Diego Harris draws inspiration directly from natural patterns, particularly spirals and organic structures found in plants, water, and wind.

Born in Baja California (AKA Mexico) and now based in Upper Lake, California, Harris has been working as a professional artist since 2007. With experience across a wide range of materials, including recycled metals and mixed media.

This procurement for the City of Vacaville is placed in Andrews Park, above a creek and with trees all around, it’s a fitting scene for “Aurora”. Diego’s sculpture was most recently on display at Oxbow Market in Napa, before landing in Vacaville as a permanent public art piece

DOWNTOWN LIVERMORE · OCTOBER – NOVEMBER 2026

The Great Elephant Migration is coming to Livermore, CA
⚜30 life-size elephant sculptures ⚜The herd’s only stop on the West Coast in 2026 ⚜Free to the public, in the heart of Downtown

The Great Elephant Migration is a public art exhibition of life-size Indian elephants, a global fundraising adventure to amplify Indigenous knowledge and inspire the human race to share space. Each elephant is modeled on a real animal in southern India’s Nilgiri Hills. Around 200 Indigenous artisans of the Coexistence Collective built them by hand from lantana camara, an invasive w**d that crowds elephants out of the forests they depend on.

Harvesting the w**d used to make the sculptures contributes to restoring the habitat. Special exhibits and sales of the sculptures help fund the mission. Across the tour, proceeds support more than 20 conservation groups working on human and wildlife coexistence.

There have only been 7 US cities where this has been displayed - We are the 8th stop in the US!

First Dockside Dazzle event in the books and a success! 3 hours and about 300 people came out to watch our artists paint custom whisky barrels, and see Farmer The Rigger unveiled by Zulu Heru.

Talking Heads installed today!

Talking Heads by Oleg Lobykin is an 18-ft high abstract sculpture, a spatial composition based on a balance between negative and positive space in conjunction with a line that can create an image or point of reference to spark imagination.  The sculpture’s form explores the principles of positive and negative space, void and substance. By interacting with their reflections in its mirrored-polished finish, viewers are invited to interpret the artwork’s meaning from their own unique perspectives.

Talking Heads will be on display for one year.

About the artist:
Oleg Lobykin (Russian, b. 1966) is a sculptor. Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Lobykin now resides in Silicon Valley and also specializes in the restoration of landmark architecture and sculpture. He is a sculptor interested in conceptual art and likes to use modern tools and technology as an opportunity to reach new heights.

6th year of the Mare Island Artyard ~ where has the time gone?
Local Edition envisioned this project and its importance, thank goodness also saw the vision and backed it. Thus a great partnership began to bring public art to Mare Island, one of the most intriguing places to visit in the Bay Area.
Come check out the art, the history of the oldest Naval Shipyard on the West Coast, and where industrial collides with the natural world.
Thank you to the artists and their teams, our team, and the strong support from our many friends in the community.
In addition to the Artyard, we’ve created 3 significant murals and many other visual art pieces, many by Vallejo and Solano County artists.

Where The Fountain Dreams

The City of San Rafael and the Downtown San Rafael Arts District (DSRAD) welcome a new ceramic tile and mural installation now on view at the City Plaza Fountain in Downtown San Rafael. Created by San Francisco based artist Paz de la Calzada, the work is a meditation on flow — the way water joins, sustains, and transforms.
More than a depiction of water, the mural is an invitation to “pause with Paz” in the plaza, and it gives you a moment of presence and renewal.
This installation marks the second of five new public artworks coming to Downtown San Rafael during the Spring/Summer of 2026. Four of the artworks will become part of the City’s permanent civic art collection, and one temporary sculpture will arrive at City Hall in August for a one-year exhibition.
