In honor of Halloween, I wanted to share some photos from a very special wedding I had the pleasure of photographing.

It’s not every day you get to photograph a vampire couple, but I’m excited to introduce the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Feratu!

They were a lovely couple, although getting them to show up in the photos was a bit of a challenge.

Mr. Drew and His Animals Too Center may be closing, but that doesn’t mean the education has to stop!
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Mr. Drew to create tons of educational videos featuring some incredible animals.

Today, I had a conversation with a client who shared that her wedding photographer never delivered her photos. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I've heard a story like this.

Sometimes things happen that are out of a photographer's control, like corrupted memory cards or equipment failures. Other times, couples simply aren't happy with the photos they received.

As a photographer, I know we're constantly learning and improving, and not every shoot turns out exactly how we'd hoped. But it's heartbreaking when a couple doesn't have the wedding photos they were so excited for.

That got me thinking...

What if I offered "Wedding Photos: Take Two!"

Get your hair done, put that dress and suit back on, and let's recreate a little piece of your wedding day! Whether you've been married six months or twenty years, you deserve photos you love.

We can't recreate every moment, but we can make some beautiful new memories!

Is this something people would be interested in? I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts!

PS. I want to be clear, I'm far from a perfect photographer myself. I've taken photos I'm not proud of and it sucks. This isn't meant to put down anyone else's work. I'm just trying to think of ways I can help fill that gap for couples who didn't get the wedding photos they hoped for.

Today’s video is a pretty special one.

Between getting the studio finished and getting married, the last few weeks have reminded me just how lucky I am to have the community I do.

So many people and local businesses stepped up to help us — donating their time, skills, materials, food, and honestly just being there when we needed them.

I tried to shout out as many people as I could in this video, but even that doesn’t feel like enough.

Catlin Creations has always been built around supporting my community, and seeing that same community show up for me in return means more than I can put into words.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the studio possible, helped make our wedding special, or has supported me and my business along the way. I appreciate you all more than you know.

I have to give a special shoutout to Nicholas Electrical.

Just days before our wedding, they surprised us by not only coming over and installing two lights in the new studio, but also installing a brand-new heat pump.

I genuinely don’t know what to say besides thank you. This company has supported me and my business in so many ways, and they continue to go above and beyond when they absolutely don’t have to.

Watching this studio come together has already meant so much to me, and having people like this in my corner makes it even more special.

I love these guys so much. Thank you, Nicholas Electrical Company, for everything you’ve done for us and for continuing to be such an incredible part of this journey.

Hey everyone! As most people would probably assume, I’ll be taking some time off from September 30 through October 6 for my wedding!

If anyone needs to reach me during that time, I’ll get back to you after the 6th. I really appreciate everyone’s patience, as well as all the kind words and congratulations we’ve received leading up to the wedding.

Looking forward to taking a few days off, celebrating with everyone, and officially becoming a husband!
