Everyone must sign up if they want to perform. Unfortunately, this is not a comedian open mic. I will try to accommodate small groups who want to perform together. If you are part of a duo or group and get up to perform, that is considered your turn. The list can get long which constricts performance time for all. To give everyone fair time on stage, I am unable to give people a solo slot then, al
low them to join their duo or group slot. For instance, if a group of four performers perform three songs together, then each of the four performers play three songs solo, that would eat up more than one hour of stage time and is unfair to the other performers who are waiting patiently for their turn. Performers who sing yet do not play an instrument are welcome to ask other performers, who play instruments, to accompany them. This is considered requests on the spot and the musician who is asked is performing a supportive role for the singer who may not perform at all without the help of the musician they asked. Of course, if only four people show up the whole night, these rules may change, and the performers may get more time to perform. What is provided is a PA system, a small tube amp for electric guitars, bass, cajon and tambourine. If performers want to sing over pre-recorded tracks, please bring a device that accepts 1/8' connection which can be connected to the PA system. Sampling the food and beverages is highly encouraged. All open mics everywhere rely entirely on the patronage from the customers to the restaurant. In other words, if everyone just asks for water, this will be a very short-lived open mic. Please don't forget the servers. They are all working hard.
