Lodge reopens at 2pm today for regular business hours!!!!

08/11/2020

Good news!!!!!

The Lodge has been professionally cleaned and sanitized.

We will be opening at 2pm on Wednesday for regular business hours.

Couple of notes:

Per state mandate you must wear a mask into the Lodge. You can take it off as long as you are seated. You must put it back on when you leave or go to the restroom or anywhere else in the Lodge.

Also. PLEASE if you are sick or are not feeling well do not come into the Lodge. Your fellow members will appreciate it!

Also a shout out to Rich Heidenreich and Todd Hoover and all the volunteers who put on a great golf outing last Saturday. It was different but it seemed everyone had a good time.

Thanks and hope to see everyone soon.

07/30/2020

ATTENTION!!!!

As of 2pm today the Lodge is closed for the next 2 weeks.

We have learned that a few individuals that have been at our Lodge within the past week have exhibited symptoms of COVID 19 and were tested and came back positive.

We will take this time to have the Lodge given a deep thorough professional cleaning.

The safety of our members and employees are of utmost importance.

We will update this page as the time to reopen draws nearer.

Please keep those affected in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank You.

LODGE OPENING AT 2PM TODAY!!!!

Lodge will be open Thursday at 2pm!!!! We can’t wait to see you.

A few new procedures to tell you about so you know what to expect:

1. No books (daily, weekly, monthly, Sunday, dice or Queen). This will be re-evaluated at a future time.

2. Hand sanitizer is available next to the old pay phone. There are more sanitizer stations coming.

3. All members will receive a tab while they are there. When you are ready to leave please settle your tab at that time.

4. Please do not move barstools, chairs or tables. They are placed according to distancing code.

5. No standing. All members must be seated.

6. TV remotes will be behind the bar. If you would like the channel changed please ask the bartender to do it.

7. Jukebox will be app only. No cash or touching the screen.

8. No pool table or darts.

If you have any questions or concerns please ask the bartender or an officer.

We realize it’s going to be different but with the improvements we have made and just the fact we can get together we can all make the best of it and still have a good time.

See you Thursday!!!

Spaghetti Dinner June 10th, 5 PM Until Gone $7.00 Best Dinner in Town!
A lodges success is its reputation in the community If you are a lodge that does nothing in your community or fails to go to District or Moose Legion meetings you are just a bar and domed for failure. It is that plain and simple, when you are active in you communities doing great things the word spreads and you will find new members who wish to participate in these types of programs, word of mouth can be your best friend or your worst enemy. A stand alone lodge has more enemies that friends, a great lodge has leaders who go that extra mile and are well recognized for what they do in there communities. A true Moose is always working for the betterment on not only his lodge but his family, his community, his District, his Moose Legion, his association and Mooseheart and Moosehaven, you will find him or her on committees and on boards working for the betterment of all. Ask your selves these questions, do I participate in community fund raisers, do I help the needy or elderly including you own members, do we help with food banks, are we ready to help if a disaster strikes? If your answer is no to these questions that your are just a bar and domed to fail. No one understands this better the Scott Hart and the Supreme Council who have under taken this new step of putting a difference type of a Moose Family center in communities, we all have to wake up to the fact we are living in a new and different era and if we wish to survive we must adapt to it. What Mooseheart does in and for their community has earned then one of the finest reputations in there area and our fraternity. Another group that well understands this is John Capes and his crew at Moosehaven, the community events held on that campus annually has gain them a fantastic reputation well out side of that community. What does give me a sad heart since I have moved to Moosehaven is that my own lodge has dropped most all its community service projects of which some had gone on for over 25 years, no one wants to go that extra mile, a lack of good leadership and a full board of officers yet they do keep bar prices down so all can get a cheap drink. How many more of you out there need a wake up call? Everett C Goodwin Moosehaven Resident
A Hurricane named “Irma” Along came a hurricane named Irma causing great destruction of our terra firma At Moosehaven we are made to feel so safe with employees watching over us just in case Our brother and sister Moose they do pray to sea this storm it will stray All here are ready to hunker down this we do without a frown We know so many others are not as lucky as us to shelters they must take a bus When the winds start to howl and gust in “God” we will put our trust As the skies clear and again become blue finding residents here have stuck together like glue The Bard Of Moosehaven
