Hey everyone. This is Stephen from The Genesis Show. It has been a while since we have posted anything. We wanted to share something a good friend and supporter of ours is doing. Joseph Grillo participates in this hockey cancer fundraiser every year. And this year Joseph is playing and fundraising in honor of our singer Jeff Giuliani who passed away in November from a short and brutal battle with cancer. It is hard to put into words how devastating of a loss this has been for all of us. To say the last 12 months have been difficult would be an understatement. Jeff and I have been the best of friends and musical partners for almost 40 years. It is still hard to imagine a world without him. As we all know, sometimes life likes to kick you when you are already down.

Right after Jeff died I was diagnosed with cancer myself. I kept it quiet because I am a fairly private person and was still grieving from losing Jeff. I could barely process Jeff's death let alone my own diagnosis. The good news I underwent surgery and treatment over the last few months and am recovering well. I just had my 3 month PET Scan and exam last week and I have been declared cancer free. So while I am thankful and grateful for having beat cancer, I and the rest of the guys in the band are still grieving and processing this all. There is nothing more I could say about cancer that hasn't already been said. It is an awful disease that doesn't discriminate. So if you are inclined to, please consider making a donation in honor of Jeff. Joseph really works hard every year fundraising for this cause and I don't think anyone can say they don't have a friend or loved one affected by cancer. This hits home for everyone.

On a different note, stay tuned...band updates and announcements will follow shortly!

Happy Saturday everyone! This is a fan video of one of our most infamous shows at the Landis Theater in Vineland NJ 8 years ago. This was early on as a band when we started off with the ‘77 Wind & Wuthering Tour. This is not the full show but just some highlights. We played the famous Jan 1st 1977 Rainbow Room Setlist which was the only time Genesis ever played the Lillywhite Lilith/Waiting Room/Wot Gorilla? medley. I believe there are only two known recordings of this. You can find a crapy recorded version of Genesis doing it that night and our version here of us trying to recreate it. The person that made this video captured the entire medley. So we are grateful. I think we did it justice. Jeff as always nails the vocal performance and the drums like a champ. Listen to Vince’s backup vocals at the end of Lillywhite Lilith. He nails Phil’s vocal flourishes that he did on the studio version. The thing that made this gig “infamous” was that we set off the fire alarm I think right after Afterglow. The entire theater had to be emptied out while the fire department had to scan the theater before letting everyone back in. It was December 30th, almost 39 years to the day Genesis did this show, so it was freezing and snowy out. Our fans were troopers. They all came back in and we finished the show. The crazy thing is the fire alarm was supposed to be disabled because we were using fog. We actually had paid the fire department to be there on site for the entire show because of the fire alarm being disabaled. By law we had to do it. Well they forgot to disable the fire alarm. And when it went off, the two firemen there didnt know how to turn off the alarm. It was a mess. But it made for a memorable night. If anyone has any video of the actual alarm going off please share it.

Remembering Jeff today. It is hard to believe he is gone. But he lives on in our memories and hearts. For those who haven't seen this, we recorded this at Levoy Theatre 2 years ago this last November.

The Genesis Show, an American Genesis tribute band, plays "The Duke Suite" as it was played on the 1980 Duke tour.

It is with great sadness that we tell you that our brother and bandmate, Jeff Giuliani, passed away Saturday, November 29. Jeff was an extraordinary musician, and he was a driving force behind the success of The Genesis Show.

Even more so, he was a beautiful person - kind, generous, funny, hard working, and most importantly, a husband and father. Please keep his family in your thoughts, and we will share information regarding arrangements when we have it.

Jeff’s hope was that he win his battle and get back on stage when strong enough. As we process our loss, we hope to honor his wish that we continue. In the meantime, we hope to share live recordings from some of our shows with Jeff.

Love - Mike, Vince, Steve, and Matt
