I will be putting out the 277th edition of our long-running livestream series, commonly known as the (Mostly) 80s Friday Happy Hour Live tomorrow (May 29th, 2026) beginning at about 3:45 PM ET.

I would be most appreciative if a large number of the good people reading this post were able to jump onto Mixcloud at that time and listen to about 50 (mostly) 80s song classics, perhaps a few that you have not heard in a while, or perhaps ever.

Temperatures along the east coast are looking to be 15 to 20 degrees cooler than normal, with rain expected to fall during part or each day in the weekend.

The beach trip you are about to depart for may be one spent huddled in your Airbnb, watching the same Netflix programs you would have watched at home, and getting DoorDash to deliver your favorite boardwalk fare to avoid the nasty weather.

In spite of the weekend weather being atypical for late May, the traffic as you make your way to the shore will be everything you expect - a 220 mile, low speed obstacle course that you and a couple hundred thousand other drivers will be slowly navigating, with tempers flaring and colorful language and gestures being the rule of the day.

We would make the weather better for you all, and even lighten the traffic if we could. Sadly, we can do very little to improve your situation.
