I did a bunch of watercolors of this bridge in a city park in TaiChung, Taiwan. Each painting had a favorite part in it , but none of them did justice to the way I felt in this park. So I tore up one of the paintings, and stuck it on a board, abd painted and used oil sticks just thinking of walking in TaiChung and the exoticness of it all. This finished piece captures that feeling for me. And it made my day.

I looked at this at least once a day over the last month and then, today I got out my oil sticks and played and the pain...

I looked at this at least once a day over the last month and then, today I got out my oil sticks and played and the painting just came alive for me. I love that feeling. A big thank you to for encouraging me to finish it. And to for helping get the juices flowing in her amazing class.

This piece was suppoaed to be at last weekend. We got it there (my biggest piece at a show yet) and put it on an easel and within 10 minutes the wind picked up and it fell,
Gouging a hole in the sky. Not an auspicious setup for the show. It is now home with me and I must decide whether to try to repair it. This is so different from my usual work I am wondering if it was even meant to be? Thoughts?

What a beautiful weekend ! Thank you to all who supported my art practice. I cant wait to get home and create.

I keep doing these pieces that are way different from anything I have done and I dont know if I am doing it to avoid getting better at one thing or to try to get better by experimentation. I do like this but dont k ow about frame color yet. Hope to bring to next weekend. Booth 1.
