One of my mom’s favorite singers was Dolly Parton and after she recently passed, lots of memories came flooding back from when I was young. Before cable TV, there was ON TV, a subscription service that ended in 1985 that unscrambled movies and this is where I was first introduced to Dolly in The Best Little Wh******se In Texas from 1982. I was only 10, so I wasn’t able to watch it but I snuck a peak whenever I could. In 1983 I heard the first country song that I loved, Islands In The Stream by Dolly and Kenny Rogers. Another little piece of my childhood has been taken away once again but the memories will last forever. Here is my tribute to Dolly from one of her iconic roles.
