First official Pottery Party done! It was soo much fun! Highly reccomend for all ages since it became a two phase event, after the kids were done the adults started painting! Totally great! Will post the pics soon!

These are works from italy. This technique involves typically, glazing red clay white, then painting over that with intensely pigmented underglazes. Giving a wonderful, bright, colorful effect! Also familiar in alot of Mexican pottery, in fact, some of this is Mexican too! This is something I alos do, if anyone is interested in commissioning pieces like these

I invented the clay poke berry today. It is created by poking a broken pencil tip in a tiny ball of clay, then it looks like a real berry...Will anyone believe that it is a NW plant? By the way, it has leaves like a hydrangea, lol I think the berries should be red or wine colored

I need to get some info on your pottery parties...add that to the list of things we need to talk about! :)
After researching business for 2 yrs, I found out this article, went through the process; then in just 6 weeks, part time I profited $4700 so I could quit my job! I now work this business raising 2 small kids. Total I earned $23430 till now hkcllj
I want to see a fish plate by you like those shown in the Majolica technique post. There is some really neat stuff in there and I know you could do it all!
Cyndi...you need to put up a price list for us all! I am going to be needing some gifts soon!
Want to join me with some island artists for an art set up during the lavender festival in July? Also, I'm going to apply for the St John's Bizaar. Any suggestions for other shows you've enjoyed? ;) you should post where we can find you this summer!
