In this video I walk you through how I created a ballerina using quilling. I don't use patterns and I didn't draw my design out, I just let the image come together organically step by step.

I describe the tools and techniques I used in this piece to share my insights with you if you want to try your hand at quilling, too.

This is an artform new to me, it's my second attempt at quilling (the first came out well and will be a surprise gift for friends, so mums the word until it's given). While making this piece I learned a lot about how this technique works, and have started to develop my own style. I'm excited to explore it some more!

Rainy day cookie making. I use butterfly pea flower powder to color the royal icing as well as to paint with (water added). The cookies are lemon and orange zest, made with sugar, butter, egg yolk, a little ricotta cheese, lemon extract and juice, and orange zest. These are for a special occasion - a friend's graduation from nursing school. A little hand made gift is a special way to say 'congratulations.'

I want to share with you some of my Christmas Pierniczki!

Ginger bread cookies with molasses, 5-spice, clove, and some with added cocoa for a darker look, hand decorated with royal icing. The bits of green on one of them that look like little leaves on a vine are made from icing with added organic matcha powder.

I make these to order for any occasion - weddings, baptism, first communion, confirmation, baby showers, birthdays, or any time you want to celebrate someone or something special.

$12 per 1/4lb, I ask at least one week's notice for orders please. Send me a message if you'd like special cookies custom made for you.
