Happy Labor Day from all of us at PNWF!

Today is all about taking a well-deserved breather and celebrating the dedication, grit, and passion you bring to everything you do. Whether you’re unplugging for a long weekend, hitting the trails, or simply soaking in some quiet time with a warm drink, we hope today gives you a chance to slow down and recharge.

To the Doers, Creators, and Hard Workers
Labor Day is a reminder that while hard work moves us forward, rest keeps us grounded. Take a moment today to step outside, reflect on everything you’ve built, and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

From the trails to the everyday hustle and everywhere in between, thank you for being part of the PNWF community. Happy Labor Day!

🛠️ On Labor Day, we're taking a break.

PNWF is closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day, not just for a long weekend, but to actually sit with what this day is about.

Every campaign we run, every dollar raised, every story we help tell only happens because people show up and do the work.

Today, we're grateful for ours, and for every nonprofit team, volunteer, and community partner grinding it out to make their mission real.

We'll be back Tuesday, September 8, recharged and ready. Enjoy the day, however you spend it. 🧡

The donor who gives $25 on Giving Tuesday is not necessarily the same donor who should receive a DAF reminder. Good year-end fundraising routes people into the giving path that fits the relationship. PNWF builds the strategy and ex*****on system behind those paths.

Today marks the final day of August. The quiet runway of summer is closing, and tomorrow, we officially enter the most critical fundraising season of the year.

Over the next four months, your supporters will be making their most significant philanthropic decisions. They will be looking for organizations that demonstrate clear vision, operational integrity, and an inspiring plan for the future.

If you spent July resetting your ledgers and August mapping your strategy, step onto this trailhead with total confidence. You have built the infrastructure. You have refined your mission stories. The summit is in view.

To every nonprofit leader across the Pacific Northwest gearing up for the fall sprint: we are standing right beside you, ready to help you move mountains.

Have a safe, restorative Labor Day weekend ahead—and let’s make this Q4 your most impactful yet!

Imagine waking up on the Tuesday after Labor Day. The summer lull is officially over. Donors are back at their desks, Q4 campaign timelines are launching, and the inbox requests are pouring in.

How does that image make you feel? Anxious, or empowered?

The difference between panic and predictable revenue comes down to the systems you lock in before the month ends. Over the last eight weeks, we’ve talked about cleaning your donor CRM, building recurring monthly giving programs, and drafting your fall storytelling arcs. Now is the moment to weave those threads together.

Take these final days of August to conduct a pre-fall flight check:
✓ Is your online donation form mobile-friendly and tested?
✓ Are your segmented email lists cleaned and categorized?
✓ Does your board know their exact role in the upcoming campaign?

A sustainable autumn isn't a matter of luck; it is engineered through intentional summer preparation. You've done the groundwork—now let's get ready to climb.

Year-End Giving is too important to improvise in December.

A strong campaign starts earlier—when there is still time to segment donors, prepare Giving Tuesday, identify recurring and Smart Giving opportunities, activate the board, and build the stewardship plan.

PNWF's Year-End Giving Success Package gives nonprofits a complete October–December fundraising system.

"Our program served 1,420 individuals this year across five counties."

That is a wonderful statistic. But on its own, it rarely inspires a donor to double their annual gift.

When we help organizations analyze their most successful year-end appeals, the differentiating factor is never the data—it is the narrative. Donors don't give to abstract numbers; they give to people, to tangible transformations, and to vision.

They give when they can clearly see the human or environmental impact of a single dollar.

If you wait until October to search for these stories, you will end up settling for generic summaries. But by starting your narrative search today, you give your team the time to interview program staff, gather ethical, consent-based testimonials, and craft an emotional arc that truly invites your donors into the mission.

Don't just tell your supporters what you did this year. Show them whose life changed because they chose to care.

Want to elevate your year-end storytelling strategy? Let's build your campaign narrative.

Behind every protected forest acre, every expanded classroom, and every step toward environmental justice in our region, there is a dedicated team of individuals who refused to accept the status quo.

Today is National Nonprofit Day, but for the change-makers we work with across the Pacific Northwest, mission-driven work isn't a one-day celebration—it is a daily commitment to moving mountains for the future of our world.

To the executive directors carrying the weight of their organizations, the development officers tirelessly connecting donors with passion, and the program coordinators working on the frontlines of conservation, access, inclusion, and education: we see you, and we thank you.

Running a nonprofit is a profound challenge, but you never have to navigate the climb alone. Today, we celebrate your resilience, your vision, and the undeniable impact you leave on our communities.

How is your team celebrating your mission today? Drop a comment below and let us celebrate you!
