Meet Your Poetic Cousins & Ancestors Welcome to the Vallejo Library monthly poetry event! Then the participant writes about that poem or that poet.

Guided review of worldwide legacy poets is an intimate exploration group, meeting to read many fine & famous (or infamous/not-so-famous) poets of the past & present. This is a review group, in which each participant (in advance of the gathering) selects one or more poems of a poet of renown - literally our poetic cousins & ancestors. At the meeting, participants will read the

chosen work of the poet before a short discussion,then read the piece they have written. The time will be divided to make certain that everyone gets the opportunity to read. Everyone is invited to post comments or suggestions here after the gathering, or even a full-on a review! A list of poets is being prepared, with more poets added at intervals - and that list will be on view at the gathering and on the library's website. We invite all poetry lovers to come out for an adventure in discovery!
