Been a minute since I’ve posted on here. I’m Monique (Mo). This week I will be participating in the BOSPI . This is a 40”x48” mdf board that has been ink washed and carved for printing. Come watch me and 24 other artists make large scale prints of our work July 27 from 9am till 4pm.

Woodworking for me quiets the mind. For those who can’t quiet their thoughts, there is someone to talk to. Encourage yourself to craft or do what you like even if it’s one step at a time. Even if it’s slow, ugly or not trendy.
Call 988 “The su***de and crisis hotline” if you’re feeling overwhelmed and, or having ideations.
I am always willing to listen and share sound advice. As someone who decided to commit to my healing journey it’s part of my philosophy to embrace the dark sides because they show us truer light. Remember 988 and share this number with your audience. 988. I have it saved in my phone as “a listening ear”.

Hey everyone. I have a couple photos to share of the projects we’ve completed and started in the last month. My 3 kids and I have been learning how to create together. I can say that it’s so refreshing to see them cooperate in stepping away from their devices (willingly and unwillingly 😉) and picking up a creative trade. I am so blessed to have 3 unique individuals in my life, it’s rewarding to see them use their abilities to build confidence.

On top of keeping up with workshop things, I’ve been helping 2 of our kids with starting businesses of their own, helping with my husbands logo, and all of my other daily duties. Self care is my top priority. Thanks for all the love and continued support of Mama Root. Y’all help me take self care to the next level.

I think that I speak for most moms, that the less mess we have to clean up, the more time we have to take care of ourselves. Once I get our kids off to school, I’m ripping and running until it’s time to get them.
