Bubble City Swing is back with our 7-week swing dance lesson set and social dance! Our first lesson will take place on 9/3 and will run until 10/15.

Beginner Lesson
Where: Illini Union, room numbers noted in the second slide
When: 7:30-8:30pm
Cost: $40
No partner or experience necessary!

Intermediate Lesson
Where: Illini Union, room numbers noted in the second slide
When: 6:30-7:30pm
Cost: $40
No partner (but some experience) necessary!

Social Dance
Where: Illini Union, room numbers noted in the second slide
When: 8:30-10pm
Cost: FREE!
No partner or experience necessary!

The fall semester is here, and we want to kick things off with our Fall Kickoff Dance!

WHEN: August 29, 2026
7-8pm: Free Drop-in Beginner Swing Class (no partner or experience needed!)
8-10:30pm: Free Live Band Social Dance

WHERE: Illini Union, Illini Rooms AB (on the first floor), 1401 W Green St, Urbana IL

WHO: Both students AND community members attend our events and are very welcome!

COST: Free! (suggested donation of $5-15 for community members)

RAFFLE: Each attendee is given 1 free raffle ticket at the door (more tickets available for purchase). Three prizes are available, and drawing will take place during the dance. Must be present to win.

LOGO SKETCHES HAVE DROPPED!!! We are working with the amazing Natalia Eristavi to create a logo that portrays a more abstract and inclusive swing out. The logo will also be paired with our scene name, Bubble City Swing.
We want to combine elements from each logo before we create an official design, but we need YOUR help to determine which elements we like best!

Come be a Quad Day performer for Bubble City Swing on August 23!
Each year for the university’s Quad Day we put together a short Lindy Hop routine with a steal jam to introduce more students to swing dance—but we need people to dance up on stage! It's official folks—summer dancing at Hamilton Walker's is in full swing! (pun intended.) We will be dancing to DJ sets in the lobby of the beloved Champaign restaurant on JUNE 14, JULY 19, and AUGUST 16 from 7-9pm. Entry is completely free, and beverages and food will be available for purchase. We hope to see you there!!! 😄
