Founded in 1981, we have been providing museum-quality custom framing and expert frame design for over 40 years. In addition to our Cambridge facility, our showroom in Boston’s South End was recently relocated to the fast-growing SOWA district at 460C Harrison Ave. Since 1990, we have been servicing New York City, where we provide custom frames to many of Manhattan’s leading galleries and picture

framers. We maintain a close relationship with the fine art world, and provide all manner of art-related services for our clients, including professional design consultation, access to installation services, and conservators, as well as delivery throughout the metro Boston area.

We’ll be having a staff meeting tomorrow morning and will be opening a little late tomorrow (Tuesday, June 23rd). Our designers will be in at 10:30 ready to guide you in your frame design.

We had the pleasure of framing some items collected along our client’s travels. Loving the vibrant custom colors chosen for the frame 💛and spacers ❤️. And all of the intricate custom made attachments to secure these objects in place.

These paintings on fabric were sewn into fabric matboards custom made by . Our inside outside round frame in zinc lacquer works perfectly. Museum optium acrylic for the best viewing experience.

Just a quick note to say that while we are still working building out our new Waltham showroom (opening soon, we promise!), our sun-drenched Auburndale showroom and our designers are here to help you with your framing!

Our first massive piece in the new production facility went out doors this week and we couldn’t be happier with how this came out! For our friends this frame is a gorgeous combo of a 3” wide ground gunmetal steel face with Tiger maple liner and sides in a vivid red. 🤩 It comes in at 101” long and 50” tall (ish).

So glad to collaborate with Trefler’s for this one!

While we wait the opening of our Waltham location, design appointments will be available in our Auburndale location on Mondays. We will keep you updated on our progress and look forward to seeing you in Auburndale soon.

It was bittersweet walking thru our showroom for the last time last night. We loved serving you all from our facility across from Fresh Pond. But we can’t wait for our next chapter and bigger things ahead.

Stay to the end of the reel for a sneak peak of our new showroom coming soon to 1019 Trapelo Rd. in Waltham — we hope to be open by mid to late May and will keep you posted!!

As of the end of today, we are open in our West Newton showroom in Auburndale *only* as we build-out and move to our 2nd new showroom set to open in mid-late May 2026, at 1019 Trapelo Rd. in Waltham.

In the meantime, please visit come us in Newton at 442 Lexington St., Auburndale, 02466. We will welcome you with smiles and help you with any project you have! If you have an order in process or ready to pick up, we will have it for you in Auburndale. Please call us or email for more info.

We will truly miss our Cambridge home of the last 30 years, it’s quite the end of an era. However, we are so excited for the next chapter in our story. Onward!

As many of you may already know, we recently moved our manufacturing operations to a beautiful and larger facility in Malden. We are officially up and running over there, and our dedicated team of artisans is working harder than ever to deliver the signature custom frames ASF has always been known for, and to catch us up as fast as possible from our delay while moving.

The reason for our move to Malden is that our beloved home for the past 30 years in Cambridge is slated to be redeveloped.

Initially, we were told we would have more time after our production move to search for a new showroom (ideally between Cambridge & Belmont). But due to circumstances far beyond our control, we must now also vacate our showroom by the end of this month (& if you’re counting, that’s 3 days away!) Obviously, this news was a shock for us, as we were forced to begin a search for a new retail space ASAP.

Incredibly, we found an amazing storefront we know will be an excellent fit for our business & our valued customers, just 10 minutes away from our current space in Cambridge! Our new showroom is a bright corner shop in North Waltham just over the Belmont line & steps away from the Lexington line. It features free parking & amazing visibility, with easy access to Route 2 & I-95/128! We will be at 1019 Trapelo Rd., Waltham in just a few short weeks!

In addition, we are continuing to serve our valued clients at our newest showroom at 442 Lexington Street in the village of Auburndale in Newton, also with free parking. We will continue to provide free pick-up & delivery of your artwork on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please call us at 617-497-2259, or email [email protected] to set that up.

We hope to open our new Waltham showroom in the coming weeks, by mid-May, as we need to conduct a brief build-out to make it ready to receive clients. We will keep you updated as we progress to our exact re-opening date. Please don’t hesitate to come visit us in Auburndale during this time; our designers will be so happy to see you there & help you with any projects you bring us.
