Founded in 1981, we have been providing museum-quality custom framing and expert frame design for over 40 years. In addition to our Cambridge facility, our showroom in Boston’s South End was recently relocated to the fast-growing SOWA district at 460C Harrison Ave. Since 1990, we have been servicing New York City, where we provide custom frames to many of Manhattan’s leading galleries and picture

framers. We maintain a close relationship with the fine art world, and provide all manner of art-related services for our clients, including professional design consultation, access to installation services, and conservators, as well as delivery throughout the metro Boston area.

New England Chronicle 1775. The original paper is island matted at the top of the frame, and a reproduction of the inside pages was made by Digital Silver Imaging to display on the bottom. They did an amazing job color-matching the matboard in the background of the print to create the illusion of an island float. Our CL206 profile creates a classic look in walnut wood with a light walnut stain. Museum Optium acrylic was chosen to protect and preserve this antique document, and allow the viewer to read its text without interference from glare.

We help facilitate restoration work for our clients artwork with some of the top conservators in the Boston area. This Koryusai woodblock print on rice paper was treated by a paper conservator, who removed it from its original acidic matting and cleaned ever so carefully. The print was reframed in all museum quality materials to ensure the piece lives on for a few hundred more years.

Our client inherited this well worn vintage Hermes scarf from her mother and wanted a way to both preserve and present it. The silk scarf was delicately sewn into a museum quality mat board, with a white lacquer frame, allowing the colors from the scarf to be the focus. Museum optium acrylic was used to show the truest colors and details, and protect the scarf from fading.

The Queen of Pop has returned to the dance floor and we’re here for it. 🧡🧡 Framed in our inside outside round profile with a white satin lacquer finish, and floated on a gorgeous tangerine fabric mat by Frank's Fabrics Museum Optium acrylic was chosen for the best viewing experience and to display the truest color and detail.

Custom colors were chosen to accentuate our gorgeous inside outside round profile (CT 122) and our rounded profile with gilding (CT 106 with S-Corner). Our designers love helping our clients bring their vision to life.

A quick update with our holiday hours. Our Auburndale location will be open until 4:00 Friday, July 3rd and closed on Saturday, July 4th. We will be back to normal business hours on Monday, July 6th.
