📣 Calling all foodies, film enthusiasts, and Prehistory Guys fans! 🥂We invite all those interested, including local community members and official TAC Festival and Conference participants, to attend the Banquet to officially kick off the festival. Enjoy a fine meal and have fun with fellow Festival-goers. Menu choices will have chicken, potatoes, beans, stuffed acorn squash, and salad in a buffet, which includes vegan and gluten-free options. 🍽️

We are also thrilled to welcome The Prehistory Guys- Michael Bott and Rupert Soskin- for the Festival Keynote Address, titled “Being There: How filming Can Change Perceptions.” 🎥🎬

Friends and colleagues in the UK since the late 1990s, Michael’s and Rupert’s shared fascination with megalithic sites and combined talents eventually culminated in the film “Standing With Stones,” which was greeted with acclaim at TAC Festival 2010. In 2018, they began a podcast, which has since developed into The Prehistory Guys, a YouTube channel focused on prehistoric archaeology with over 100,000 subscribers.
Together, collaborating with ALI, they have also guided popular TAC Tours of Britain, Ireland and Brittany, with a much-anticipated “Tour of Scotland & the Isles” coming in September of 2026.🧳

In their keynote address, Michael and Rupert will share some of their experiences that illustrate how the act of filming, coupled with a little critical thinking, has profoundly changed their understanding of prehistoric sites and revealed that conventional wisdom is often rooted in misunderstandings and misplaced assumptions.
