The Creative Spaces are back this fall! 🎭🎶

Kids ages 8–12 are invited to spend their afternoons singing, acting, dancing, creating, and building confidence alongside a welcoming group of young performers.

Throughout the fall, participants will work with our teaching artists to bring an entirely original show to life—complete with fresh scripts, choreography, music, and collaborative art. It all leads to a live performance for family and friends on December 6!

📅 Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
🕞 3:30–5:30 PM
⭐ Optional Wednesday Extended Day: 2:00–5:30 PM
🎭 Final performance: Sunday, December 6
📍 Holy Names High School campus in Upper Rockridge, Oakland

Choose one or more days per week. No previous experience is needed—just a willingness to create, collaborate, and have fun!

Before summer winds down, we want to give a giant THANK YOU to the kids, families, and staff who helped make our 2026 summer camp season so special!

It was a summer filled with creativity, bold artistic choices, and tons of fun. Our imaginative themes gave our teaching artists a wonderful canvas for creating hilarious original plays, fantastic choreography, unique art projects, and an eclectic mix of music for our campers.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for six spectacular weeks of camp! Stay tuned for more creative fun this fall.

Summer 2026 has been an incredible one at Mr. D’s Music Club!

Campers often arrive on Monday feeling a little unsure or nervous. By Friday afternoon, they’re performing choreography, acting in an original show, singing favorite songs, and seeing their artwork brought to life on stage.

Watching that transformation happen in just one week is something special.

Join us for our final two weeks of summer camp:

⛺ July 20–24: Gone Campin’
🎶 July 27–31: Decades: 2010s

There’s still time to experience one of Oakland’s most unique summer camps!

“Step into her light.”

That’s it. That’s the goal. 💛

Three things we hear again and again at camp 💛

“I made a new friend.”
“This is the only camp I’m not bullied at.”
“I love Mr. D’s!”

These moments are why we do what we do.
From the very first day, campers are part of a creative, collaborative community where they feel seen, supported, and connected.

Every child contributes. Every child belongs. Every child shines.
