Cody Palmer, sophomore at Bad Axe HS, was selected to perform at the Thumb Friends of the Arts 22nd Anniversary Celebration concert on March 25th at Bad Axe High School. All invited performers were selected based on their very high scores at Solo & Ensemble festival back in January. Cody performed "Shimmering Daydreams" by Larry Clark on the alto sax. For Cody's outstanding performance, he will be receiving a $100 scholarship from Quad N Music - Caro, MI to be used to continue on his musical journey. Congratulations Cody!

Ubly High School Band was the featured band at the Thumb Friends of the Arts 22nd Anniversary Celebration concert held at Bad Axe High School on March 25th. One of the top area groups is invited to perform each year at this event. The Frame Shoppe - Caro, MI is sponsoring a $100 donation to the Ubly HS Band to be used towards the purchase of a new concert band piece of music for the 2027 concert season. Congratulations to Ubly Band and their director Mrs. Jennifer Nicol.

Thank you to our amazing host schools for the 2026 Band & Choir Festivals. Over 40 ensembles performed during the 3 days. Mayville HS, Sandusky, and Laker HS shared their beautiful facilities with us and were incredible hosts for all of the groups. The students, staff, administration and volunteers help make the 3 days go very smoothly. Thank you again!

Congratulations to all of the ensembles that performed at our 3 days of festivals. There were many fantastic performances, and then clinics that took place. Music is alive and well in the Thumb. Thank you for those of you that support. We do want to thank our advertisers that placed ads in our programs.

3 nights of TFOTA Band & Choir Festival take place next week. The bands and choirs would love your support. Come for one band, or stay for the full evening. The public is welcome, admission is free, and donations will be accepted to help keep our organization going strong. Please see the schedule and location for each night.
