Practice, practice. Did you know how crazy different it is to swim with two feet versus with a tail and fin? It's so very different. I was challenged to do laps with my two feet and almost panicked!!! lol... So, when diving or in open water, it's important to just keep swimming!

Mer-cademy has been busy building fun ways for more involvement for women to conquer land, air, and sea. This upcoming project will be for the purpose of a fundraiser for a scholarship encouraging more women to pursue aviation, courtesy of the aerial mermaid owner, herself. Do you know the feeling of freedom a child feels once they know how to use that tail you bought them?

It IS SO IMPORTANT TO KEEP IN MIND, a mermaid tail and fin is a new technique for a student - child or adult - and even though the child had swim classes, an adult is HIGHLY recommended an adult is IN the pool with the child until coordination is understood.

This is why we mermaid schools exist.
We're here - why not complete the mermaid tail gift purchase with lessons?

Opening scene.

What a beautiful movie, Erzulie is. My take away. It really was about women supporting each other, standing up for and finding their voices, defending against toxic male behaviour and being aware of the toxins in our rivers and water... The Erzulie was captivatingly beautiful, and the cast was perfect for the roles played.

**Rated PG-13...Parents of children under 16, there's graphic images of the dead, a scene of a sexual homosexual overtone, and implied (but none) nudity of the mermaid.)**

Aaaaaaaaaaackkk!! These guppies were mer-mazingly adorable during their itty lesson and party for their little sister!!

Did you know they can use their feet to walk on land AND swim in water??!😅✨✨💜💜🙏🏽

And they were watching Ariel and were excited my tail (Mertailor) was the same she was wearing? I had to set them straight though and explain I loaned it to her and was so excited it was famous!
And they help clean up the ocean, my home, too by putting things in the trash.

They also said I wore too much eye makeup though, and I had to tell them that was just my natural beauty😅😅😅😅💜💜🙏🏽💜

What I enjoy the most is providing aquatic entertainment for my land-locked neighbors here..

I requested the photo prior bc many families are new to understanding all that is involved in the safety, fun, and presentation of having a mermaid.

For this particular party, it will be just me as usually it is best to have a two-legger assist.

This particular party will make it where We can decide if I start in the pool when the children come out then have the adults "fish" me out and carry me to where photos are taken or,

Start outside the pool for photos and storytime, then carried in and dropped in pool like a fish out of water.

And then it may even have a thunderstorm, so then there's the backup plan..

Communication with the hosts is dire to ensure a professional and sweet and SAFE experience for all!!

But now you can sea more goes into just "booking a mermaid" and why we are professional!

What is the NCBTMB approved Aqua Massage and what good is it in a land-locked area?

Great Questions!!!
NCBTMB approved Aqua Massage is an overall introduction to the various water therapies used in massage therapy, including Watsu and Water Dance to prepare the therapist with science behind and preparing the client and therapist to receive Aqua Massage. Day one is spent in class with notes, studies, and resources where and when to utilize the techniques and practitioners who partner with this form of massage. Day two is Hands-on and spent in water with guests practicing the movements and styles to achieve comprehension. By the end of the course, students will have a greater understanding to practice Aqua Massage, resources to continue studies, references of practitioners to partner with, contraindications of Aqua Massage, and when this technique is most useful for. This is a 16 hour CE (2 days) course.

What good is it in a land-locked area?

Not only does this serve as a new form of therapy to alleviate therapist rut and boredom, it connects and builds a deeper level of trust between therapist and client, minimizing poor body mechanics from therapists, and becoming a more specialized form of therapy in growing metropolitan populations coupling with Hydrotherapy and Aquatic Physical Therapy.
