Borderline Festival 2022 8th - 10th july (Cancelled)

It is with a heavy heart that we announce Borderline 2022 will no longer be taking place.

The past year we've been working around the clock to make Borderline 2022 the best yet, however due to issues with the site, licensing and current economic situation we've made the hard decision to cancel this year but to continue with Borderline 2023.

Over the past few weeks we've carefully reviewed the issues at hand and tried to resolve them accordingly, due to being unsuccessful we felt we are not able to deliver the same standard of event as we provided to you last year.

Borderlines Festival will be making it's return in 2023. On a brand new site, we're looking forward to upping our game to make next years festival even more exciting and sustainable

In terms of refunds, if you are a ticket holder you won't be required to do anything. We will contact all ticket holders and automatically issue refunds, please allow 1-2 weeks for this to take affect.

Yet again we can only apologise to all artist and crews/people involved especially if this has caused any issues. We hope you can all understand our decision.

Ps, don't worry party people if you’re still itching to party on that weekend we are going back to roots and will be providing something for you all for free over the same weekend😁😁👌😜

In just a few weeks, our home up in the Cranshaws, will be transformed into an oasis of kick drums & heavy basslines, as we return for our second year.

We can’t wait for you to see some of the art, stages, wonderful people & more that will make this years festival one for the history books.

We may be small, but our power comes from those people who have believed in what we’re trying to do & back us all the way by purchasing tickets and coming on the rollercoaster ride that is Borderline Festival!

Step into the labyrinth were our trained Holistic therapists are ready to offer you a safe space to chill out, relax and renew!

What to expect?
A space to rival the chill out room at the monkey, were the girls will be offering: Reiki, Indian Head Massage & Crystal Therapy, to help you find your zen among the amongst the madness.

Sessions running throughout the weekend such as ~ Makinarobics, HA-HA Yoga, Psychedelic Meditation, Roaring Radgies && much more !!!

We can't wait to welcome all you radgies to our space, bringing nothing but good vibes.

PUBLIC GATE OPENING AND CLOSING TIMES.

Friday 12PM - 10PM
Saturday 10AM - 10PM
Sunday 10AM - 10PM

We are aware that last year we had people turning up after hours without paying. This year gates will be constantly monitored by security and staff to prevent people from arriving without paying entry to the festival.

SECURITY.

18+ ONLY. No children are allowed on site and ID is required at the gate if requested. Security will be carrying out random bag searches.

DRINK LIMIT.

Unfortunately like all festivals, we've had to set a drink limit to help bar sales to fund the amazing borderline festival for many more years to come. The drinking limit is 1 LITRE OF SPIRITS + 1 CRATE/BOX OF WINE. Which we believe to be fair.

WELFARE AND FIRST AID.

We will have 24hr welfare and first aid available throughout the weekend. Working alongside the very capable staff and security to keep everyone safe.

FOOD VENDORS

Two food vendors will be providing food for the festival. Both food vendors will have vegan and vegetarian options to cater for everyone attending.

TOILETS.

Various portaloos will be available to use across the entire site.

WATER TAPS.

We're expecting more people this year. We will ensure multiple safe a clean drinking water taps are available across the site.

BORDERLINE FESTIVAL 2022

This year we are not holding back on stepping up the mark from Borderline 01 last year!!!

Expect the same number of stages, but this time we are increasing the production of each, inviting new systems, projections, increased decor galore.

This year round we'll have a central hub, for craft stalls, food, music, relaxing and chillaxing.

Food will be provided by ... A grassroots catering venture set up by the festival's yours truly. The finest selection of waxa belta scran will be available all weekend. We've got every option catered for, be it vegetarian, vegan or meatful eaters.

Security will be on site from the build to make sure the site is secure for everyone. We are making sure that the festival is as welcoming as possible, but safe for all attending the three days. If security aren't available, our team are there to support our attendees and make sure their experience is as comfortable and pua class as possible!!!

Sadly, this is the post the majority of us have been expecting. One week prior to the unlocking, and 3 weeks prior to our first ever Borderline Festival, we’ve been left with no choice but to postpone the event.

We currently do have a fallback date set, however, we do not want to announce the date JUST YET as we have over 100 artists we need to work with to ensure a smooth transition into our second date. More to follow on this this coming weekend.

We’re devastated to have to write this, but of course needs must. We’ve worked tirelelessy since before the pandemic began to bring this festival to life and provide the North East with its very own national festival, however it just isn’t to be - yet.
