The Broadway in Bixby Bootcamp is wishing you and yours a peaceful and healthy Thanksgiving! 🍂🧡🍁

Today, and every day, we remember, honor, and celebrate the original native inhabitants and keepers of the land and water we call “home.” 🧡

TBBBC acknowledges its office’s and performance venue's are located on Native Land within the boundaries of the Muskogee (Creek) Nation. We also acknowledge the Indigenous tribes who were forcibly removed, including (but not limited to) the Ni-u-kon-ska (Osage), Kitikiti'sh (Wichita), Kadohadacho (Caddo), Mvskoke (Muscogee [Creek]), and Tsálăgĭ (Cherokee) Tribal Nations.

Meet the team of TBBBC’s Summer Production of “Matilda: The Musical Jr.” Up next, we are pleased to announce one of our Counselors in Training, Kyle Steward! Read all about him here.

Kyle Steward (he/him/his) is a Freshman at Bixby High School and is an active member of the BHS Theatre Program. Kyle is originally from Tahlequah, OK and is excited for the new adventures TBBBC will bring. As a member of the BHS Theatre Program, he has had the opportunity to perform in shows like BHS’s Writing A Will Can Be Murder, a joint whodunnit comedy with the BMS theatre program and was recently none other than King Triton in their Spring Musical, Disney’s The Little Mermaid. In addition to his on stage work, he has had the opportunity to be a key asset to the BHS Technical Theatre Department, where he has built and aided in the design of several shows this year. Kyle is excited to work with TBBBC this summer, and expand his knowledge and passion for the arts.

Meet the team of TBBBC’s Summer Production of “Matilda: The Musical Jr.” Up next, we are pleased to announce one of our Counselors in Training, Madison Green! Read all about her here.

Madison Green (she/her/hers) is 14 years old and is a Freshman at Bishop Kelley High School. She has been dancing for 13 years at Dance Dynamics, where she takes many styles of dance such as tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and acro. Madison is an elite level competitive dancer and has been competing for 10 years. She competes with a tap solo every year and has won 6 regional titles. Madison has been doing musical theatre for about 5 years and she has been in shows such as Matilda, Frozen Jr., Little Mermaid Jr., The Wizard of Oz, The Addams Family, and many more. Some of her favorite roles include Anna in Frozen Jr., Big Kid in Matilda, Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, and Sebastian in Little Mermaid Jr. She has also been in 3 movies and 2 commercials. This is Madison’s first year working at TBBBC and she is so excited and can’t wait to meet everyone!

Brilee Banks (she/her/hers) is super excited to be joining the TBBBC family for her first year as a Counselor in Training! She has been in various musicals and plays, including Junie B. Jones, Find Me, James and the Giant Peach, and more. She is currently enrolled in Bixby High School's theatre program and is participating in the spring musical: Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Brilee is very excited to bring theatre into so many future actor's and actress's hearts!

Meet the team of TBBBC’s Summer Production of “Matilda: The Musical Jr.” Up next, we are pleased to announce one of our Counselor’s in Training, Kailyn Yahola! Read all about her here.

Kailyn Yahola (she/her/hers) is currently a Freshman at Bixby High School and is enrolled in their theatre program. This year, she has had the opportunity to perform in BHS productions like the 2022 OSSAA State 2nd Place One Act Play, Find Me, Writing A Will Can Be Murder, and was the Flounder Understudy in BHS’s Spring Musical, Disney’s The Little Mermaid. She also has experience working with the BMS theatre department, where she has worked on several productions as a scenic painter and technician. Kailyn is no stranger to the TBBBC stage, where she has performed in starring roles such as The Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz and The Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland. She also has worked with several community theatre companies as an actor in shows such as Peter Pan as Peter Pan and Suessical as Mayzie. She looks forward to meeting new and returning campers this summer and watching them excel in their talent and passion for the arts.

Kate Quiroz (she/her/hers) is a hardworking and determined leader. Kate is 18 and is a Senior at Bixby High School where she currently serves as the Choir President. She plans to attend two years at TCC to get her basics and then transfer to OSU to major in Music Theory. Kate has been a part of the choir since 8th grade and has been to numerous competitions and was awarded the 2022 State Superintendent award for vocal music. She hopes to encourage others in TBBBC to be comfortable with their voice and help them come out of their shells.

Meet the team of TBBBC’s Summer Production of “Matilda: The Musical Jr.” Up next, we are pleased to announce one of our Counselors, Joseph Graver! Read all about him here.

Joseph Graver (he/him/his) is 17 years old and is no stranger to the theatre scene is Tulsa. He is currently enrolled in the theatre program at Bixby High School where he has performed in numerous productions, most recently in Find Me (Edward) where he was awarded All-Star Cast at the 2022 State OSSAA One Act Play Competition, as well as BHS’s Writing A Will Could Be Murder (Producer), and Disney’s The Little Mermaid (Prince Eric). Last month, he was awarded the 2022 State Superintendents Award for Arts Excellence in Drama & Theatre. After his recent role in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, he was nominated to compete at The Tulsa PAC’s Discovery Awards, where he will have the chance to travel to New York City and compete with High School performers around the nation.

Reagan Hinkle (she/her/hers) is excited to be joning the TBBBC team for her first year! She has been a dancer for 8 years and been competing for 5. She takes dance classes such as pointe, ballet, contemporary, and jazz. She also helps with kids at her church. Reagan is super excited to dance and have some fun this summer with all of the terrific kids involved with TBBBC 2022!

Meet the team of TBBBC’s Summer Production of “Matilda: The Musical Jr.” Up next, we are pleased to announce our Head Carpenter, Austin Cody! Read all about him here.

Austin Cody (he/him/his) will be a senior at Bixby High School where he is an active member in the theatre program there. With BHS, he has worked on numerous productions across various roles as a Stage Manager, Technician, Carpenter, and more. Most recently, he was the Head Carpenter and Stage Manager on Bixby High School Theatre’s largest scenic undertaking with a 50 ft. long 16 ft. high unit set. This will be Austin’s second year with TBBBC, and he is incredibly excited to be returning to the team.

Meet the team of TBBBC’s Summer Production of “Matilda: The Musical Jr.” Up next, we are pleased to announce one of our Guest Artist Educators, Bart Doerfler! Read all about him here.

Bart Doerfler (he/him/his) is an eight-time award-winning director, choreographer and writer, Bart Doerfler’s spectacular productions have been widely regarded, respected, and followed worldwide for over three decades. Bart has served as the Creative Director for Cartoon Network Live, as well as directing several shows at The Wizarding World of Harry Potterat Universal Studios Hollywood such as Tri-Wizard Tournament and the Frog Choir. He is currently in pre-production to direct and choreograph numerous shows such as The Magic Squad and Power Rangers LIVE, as well as a groundbreaking new original musical, One De Musical, opening in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Bart is thrilled to be joining the TBBBC for the summer of 2022, and cannot wait for the opportunity to work with their talented young artists.

Meet the team of TBBBC’s Summer Production of “Matilda: The Musical Jr.” Up next, we are pleased to announce one of our Assistant Stage Managers, Keely Roman! Read all about them here.

Keely Roman (he/they) is 17 years old and has gone to the Bixby High School most of his life. They are happy to be a part of the TBBBC 2022 team and he looks forward to the first day he gets to meet everyone. Keely has experience working with the BHS Theatre Department as a crew member on productions like Find Me (Crew), Writing A Will Can Be Murder (Assistant Stage Manager), and Disney’s The Little Mermaid (Crew). They also had the opportunity to work on BMS’s Spring Musical, The Addams Family, as an Assistant Stage Manager. Keely is relatively new to the theatre world but is grateful to be involved with TBBBC and is excited to see the production come to life.
