While the 2026 festival is fresh on all our minds, we want to take a quick moment to ask for ANY AND ALL that see this message, we will be in need of volunteers, committee and board members if we're going to pull off an even bigger 2027 show.

If you have time to meet once a month, brainstorm about new ideas and help with a small parts of the event, PLEASE sign up via our volunteer link below.

That's a wrap!! The 2026 Great Raven Renaissance Festival has come to a close. Why are we so sad already, can it be that we already miss it? 😭 We met so many great people over these last 4 days of some crazy hard work. So many vendors that also worked their tails off. We'd like to give a shout out to all the patient attendees for going easy on us and looking past some of the hiccups.🙌 We have a HUGE list of changes and additions for next year!! Big thank you to our volunteers, security, front gate staff. To the food vendors that did come! To the first-year vendors that took a gamble with us not knowing who we were or what they were coming in to. To the City of Galesburg for letting us use the park, and how about that hill? 🤣 To the Galesburg-Charleston Fire Dept 🚒 that was at the event the whole time making sure every potential medical problem was attended to and that everyone was safe. Galesburg-Augusta Schools for providing busses for shuttles and allowing us to use their parking lots AND the bus drivers; we had many compliments on their friendliness and some even dressed the part! And let's not forget the entertainers which spread the joy and laughter over it all. 😂 We cannot thank you all enough. It takes each and every one of you, coming together all at the same time, to make a big grassy area with a few trees and a big hill into something truly magical. Wow. Seriously, we are beyond humbled. The renaissance community showed UP! We are so grateful and so emotional after our first day. We have met so many amazing people, so friendly and willing to just stop and chat like it's a friend of yours you haven't seen in a few months. We know there weren't enough food vendors, we had several cancel last minute and it didn't leave us enough time to replace. This first year has given us SO much insight and feedback that we are already extremely excited for next year before we're even done with this year. We're very anxious to show everyone that we hear your feedback and we will continue to improve, year after year. Again, thank you SO much to all those that came, we hope you enjoyed the event dispite some of the hiccups and we look forward to meeting even more beautiful souls tomorrow! 🥰
