Mendo LEAP Schedule Update

Mendo LEAP will be closing early on Friday, June 5th at 2:00 PM and will be closed all day on Saturday, June 6th.

There are so many wonderful family-friendly events happening throughout Ukiah this weekend, and we want to encourage our families to get out and enjoy everything our community has to offer!

We'll be back to our regular schedule immediately afterward and look forward to welcoming everyone back for play, exploration, and fun.

Redwood Empire Fair

The Redwood Empire Fair returns with carnival rides, games, exhibits, entertainment, food vendors, livestock exhibits, and fun for the whole family.

Friday Night Art Walk

Take a stroll through downtown Ukiah and enjoy local artists, galleries, live music, shopping, and community connections during the monthly Art Walk.

Family-Friendly Airport Day

Check out Airport Day for a unique opportunity to explore aircraft, meet pilots, learn about aviation, and enjoy hands-on activities that inspire curiosity and discovery.

We swap the regular lights for black lights and turn up the music - no extra charge! We hope to see you there!

Learning About Community Helpers Through Play

Hello Mendo LEAP Families!

We are excited to share that Circle Time has officially started a brand new series all about Community Helpers!

Last week we explored the exciting world of Firefighters 🚒
Children learned about:

Fire safety
Firefighter tools and gear
How firefighters help our community
Teamwork and bravery

Through stories, songs, themed activities, and hands-on play, our little learners had so much fun exploring this important role in our community!

🩺 This week’s Community Helper theme: Doctors & Medical Helpers!

Children will explore:

How doctors help keep us healthy
Medical tools and checkups
Caring for others
Health and wellness through playful learning

We are also sharing a special video update with this newsletter! 🎥

As many of you know, we recently moved our large play structure into a bigger room as we continue making exciting changes around Mendo LEAP. This move is part of our ongoing plans to create new experiences and expand opportunities for older kids and families within the space.
