I wish the lighting did them justice, but it was too dark outside when I dropped them off to my client. I loved making these sweet little baby blankets!

Made using 2 skeins of bernats baby blanket yarn each, 10 mm hook, and at least 2 1/2 hours for each.

With the particularly cold months comes more time spent inside and with that comes more chances to sot down and focus on projects for upcoming vendor events! One of my resolutions for this year was to go to more of these and to do so, I need to make sure I keep expanding my stock! Recently, it has grown to include a beautiful triangular shawl, a multicolored scarf, and a beret made from the leftover scarf material. Im also testing out new/different yarn brands as well!

It isn't often that I have the patience to sit down and really apply myself to digital art. Thanks to a recent d&d character I made, I actually had the muse! Carlyss is a magic wielder and recently leveled up to where she is able to have a magical pet of sorts, in this case a Sphinx of Wonder. For it to fit in the world she calls home, myself and my game master tweaked the visual design of her pet. I personally like this one more than the original. :D The idea is that when she first discovers her new little friend, it will be a juvenile. The stronger her magic gets, the older and stronger the magical spirit will appear. A pretty cool concept if you ask me!

It has been a rather adventurous past few months! A disastrous storm left us with a flooded bedroom, making us rip out the carpet that was in it and replace the flooring. Thankfully, that adventure is done and dusted and our home has returned to a chaotic sense of normalcy. This freed me to finally get back to focusing on Artizen again!

I was able to attend my first ever vendor event and it was a smashing success! I'm sure you've heard the saying, "expect nothing and you'll leave pleasantly surprised." Well, we did just that! Our goal was to simply soak in the atmosphere and fix our first notch of experience in our belts. We left with a lot more. The funds gained from what I managed to sell paid for another table meant to serve as my check-out section of my booth and also allow me to finally purchase business cards! To top it all off, I was able to complete a little custom ghost for a lovely man several states away who wanted, and I quote, "a specter of the beach."

After some fiddling and plenty of failures, I've fashioned little homes for my dice sets that were just rattling around in my dice box. A tiny bag for my tiny set and two other themed bags to match their residents. These little storage bags are super cute and will likely become a fixed staple of my stock moving forward.

It has been a... tumultuous month. Grief, sadness, exhaustion.... These are feelings that my family has become well acquainted with recently, but along with that comes the moments that reward us with joy, nostalgia, and encouragement. Sometimes, we have to take a step back from the extra things in order to focus on ourselves and our family like I've recently done. I'd like to return, however, and start sharing my creations with you all again. Here is one such creation that I made around two weeks ago- a simple cardigan using a skein of mandala yarn (rainbow variation) and big twist yarn (black). Even though they are different sizes, I quite like how the end product turned out! Hopefully soon, the sun will come out (stormy season atm) and can get some lovely photos in this piece to share with you all.

As promised, here are the official pictures of the spiral sun backed cardigan! It's super comfy and made from a yarn brand called Big Twist, which means it's extra comfy and soft. This will be one of many pieces available for sale either privately or at the next market I take part of!
