Good morning, my salty friends!

I owe you all an apology—I’ve been completely off-grid for the past few weeks! But the break is over, and I am back and ready for a fresh start.

I’m especially excited because we’re changing things up a bit. From here on out, our Monday, Wednesday, and Friday devotionals will be intentionally paired with one of our handcrafted soaps. Each post will reflect the spirit and soul of that specific bar.

Here is what’s on the sink for today...

Monday, June 1, 2026: Sweetness in the Salt Air

Corresponding Bar: Coastal Orchard

Scripture: "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him." — Psalm 34:8

The Heart of the Matter: A coastal orchard is a beautiful contradiction—sweet, delicate fruit thriving right where the crisp, salty sea air hits the branches. Life often drops us into salty environments full of stress or harsh conditions, but God's grace allows us to bear sweet fruit anyway. The bright, crisp essence of this bar reminds us that our circumstances don't dictate our sweetness; His presence in us does.

Daily Application: Notice one sweet blessing or unexpected moment of joy today in the middle of your usual busy, chaotic routine.

Quick Prayer: Lord, let my life bear sweet fruit today even if the environment around me feels harsh or stressful. Thank You for Your goodness. Amen.

Wednesday: The Wisdom of the Anchor

Scripture:
"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." — Hebrews 6:19

Reflection:
In any craft, there are elements that provide stability while everything else is in flux. Just as a heavy anchor holds a vessel steady against a rising tide, we need a "firm and secure" foundation to keep us grounded when the demands of the day become overwhelming.

It is easy to get caught up in the details of production, schedules, and the constant need to adapt. However, your true strength doesn't come from your ability to control the weather or the waves; it comes from where you choose to place your hope. When you anchor yourself in the belief that your work has a higher purpose and that you are supported by a divine plan, you can navigate even the busiest seasons with a calm, coastal perspective.

Today, let your hope be the weight that keeps you steady, allowing you to focus on the task at hand without being swept away by the "what-ifs" of tomorrow.

A Prayer for the Day:
Lord, I thank You for being the anchor that holds me steady. When my schedule feels crowded and my mind begins to drift toward worry, pull me back to the security of Your presence. Help me to work with a sense of stability and peace, knowing that my value isn't tied to my output, but to Your love for me. Establish my heart today so that I can establish the work of my hands with joy.
Amen.

Daily Action:
Identify one "anchor" in your daily routine—a specific habit or thought that keeps you grounded. Whenever you feel stressed today, return to that anchor for sixty seconds to reset your focus and regain your peace.

Monday: The Purpose in the Process

Scripture:
"Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!" — Psalm 90:17

Reflection:
There is a unique satisfaction in looking at something tangible and knowing it was built with intention. Whether you are measuring ingredients with precision, drafting plans for a new structure, or carefully curating a story, the "work of our hands" is an extension of our spirit.

However, even the most skilled hands can grow weary if they are working toward a goal that feels empty. We often worry about whether our efforts will last or if the things we create will truly make an impact. This scripture serves as a beautiful reminder that we don't have to labor in vain. When we invite a higher purpose into our daily tasks, our work is "established"—it gains a foundation that won't easily wash away.

Today, look at your tasks not just as items on a checklist, but as opportunities to practice excellence and integrity. When we focus on the quality of the process rather than just the speed of the result, we find a much deeper sense of peace.

A Prayer for the Day:
Lord, I ask for Your guidance over the work I set out to do today. Give me steady hands and a clear mind as I navigate my responsibilities. May the things I create and the words I speak be a reflection of Your grace. Help me to find joy in the small, precise details and to trust that You are establishing my path even when I cannot see the full picture.
Amen.

Daily Action:
As you work today, take a moment to look at your hands and appreciate the capability they hold. Offer up a quick, silent thanks for the ability to create, build, and serve others through your unique skills.

FRIDAY: Still Waters - Mercy Like the Tide

SCRIPTURE: "Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever." — Psalm 23:6 (NLT)

FROM THE HEART:
The tide doesn't ask permission to come in — it just comes. God's goodness and mercy are like that. They pursue you. The Hebrew word here means "to chase" — as if love itself is relentlessly following you down every road you walk. Even on your worst days, when you feel furthest from worthy, mercy is still on your heels. Like the evening tide that closes a long day, His faithfulness ends every chapter of your life with the same announcement: I am still here. You are still Mine.

APPLICATION:
As this week closes, look back at three ways God's goodness showed up, even in small things. Thank Him for each one specifically. Then tell someone — a friend, a family member — about His faithfulness. Let your testimony be the tide that reaches another shore.

QUICK PRAYER:
God, I don't always feel Your mercy chasing me — but I believe Your Word over my feelings. Thank You that Your goodness is relentless. As this week ends, I rest in the truth that tomorrow, and every day that follows, You will be there. Amen

WEDNESDAY: Still Waters - The Restorer of Souls

SCRIPTURE: "He restores my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake." — Psalm 23:3 (NIV)

FROM THE HEART:
A soul can be depleted like a shoreline stripped bare by the tide — and still, the tide turns. God is in the business of restoration. He doesn't merely patch what's broken; He makes things new from the inside out. The misty morning shoreline whispers this truth: every dawn is a fresh canvas.

Whatever has worn you thin — grief, disappointment, exhaustion — the Shepherd's hands are gentle and His power to restore is greater than your capacity to be broken.

APPLICATION:
Write down one area of your life that feels depleted. Then write one promise from Scripture beside it. Allow God's Word to speak restoration over that exact place today. Let your list be an act of faith, not a catalog of despair.

QUICK PRAYER:
Father, my soul is tired in places I haven't shown anyone. You already see it. Restore what I cannot fix myself — breathe life back into the worn places. Lead me on right paths today, not because I deserve it, but because of who You are. Amen

Monday: Still Waters - He Leads Me There

Scripture: "He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters." — Psalm 23:2 (NIV)

From the Heart:
There's something about still water that demands you slow down. You can't rush beside a peaceful shore — the rhythm of quiet waves simply won't allow it. The Good Shepherd doesn't drive us to still waters; He leads us there. That word "leads" is full of tenderness. He knows where rest is found, and He knows we need someone to show us the way. Today, if life feels like a crashing tide, hear His gentle voice inviting you away from the noise and into His peace.

Application:
Find five minutes today to physically be still — sit by a window, step outside, close your eyes. Ask the Shepherd to lead your mind to His quiet place. Notice what anxious thoughts you've been carrying that He never asked you to carry alone.

Quick Prayer:
Lord, I admit the noise of life has been louder than Your voice lately. Today, lead me beside Your still waters. Quiet my rushing mind and remind me that rest is not weakness — it is Your gift. I follow You. Amen.
