Art Around Town is a concept developed by a committee of art enthusiasts and supporters to highlight the exciting things happening in arts and culture in Downtown Turlock. This series of evening art walks will feature free, family-friendly events at a variety of Downtown arts venues and businesses. The overall goal of Art Around Town is to familiarize the community with local artists and galleries, but also to promote the flourishing and diverse Downtown Turlock business and culture scene. Attendees of the art walk may stroll between several art galleries located on and near Main Street to view and purchase art, while browsing local businesses that choose to include local artists or musicians at their stores on event nights. Art Around Town will take place on the second Thursdays of February, May, August and November in 2017, from 6-9 p.m. Participating businesses will be found on the Art Around Town page and on a map/event guide that can be picked up at any of the venues.
