The Lewis County Dairy Promotion Committee has been staying busy since the fair! 🐄🥛

We’ve had a great time connecting with our community at local farmers markets, the Turn Library Celebration, and Farm Days. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit, learn about dairy farming, and support our local dairy industry!

We’re not slowing down anytime soon—be sure to keep an eye out for us over the next few months at upcoming community events. We can’t wait to see you again!

Hello my name is Braxtyn I am 12 years old in the 7th grade at LACS! I am a member of the Junior Holstein Club, 4-H, and FFA. I love showing my animals at the Lewis County Fair where i changed it up a little this year! I showed a Holstein cow, Brown Swiss cow and a Milking Shorthorn cow! When i grow up i want to be a nurse to help others. I joined the Lewis County Dairy Promotion Program because i want to teach the importance of Dairy and support farmers. My favorite dairy product is ice cream!🍦

We have had a very successful first two days of the Lewis County Fair!

On Tuesday morning you could find our girls at the cheese auction, displaying the cheese items sold. All proceeds go toward youth agricultural groups. They also could be found serving ice cream treats (including our daily specials!), and participating in the parade later in the day! The girls worked hard decorating the float to earn 2nd place this year!

Wednesday, the dairy industry building hosted the giant sundae! 30 gallons of ice cream, 6 cans of whipped cream, 4 containers of chocolate syrup, and countless amount of cherries, served free ice cream sundaes to many happy customers, including the South Lewis summer rec. kiddos and advisors! Our girls and volunteers also worked hard again today in the booth!

Get excited! With only 12 days until the Lewis County Fair, we have created our specials for the 2026 fair week! Make sure to come see us in the Dairy Industry Building and grab your favorite icecream, milkshake, float, sundae, iced coffee, or try one of our specials! We still have a few shifts in the booth we are looking to fill, if interested please reach out! We can’t wait to see you there!

🎆 Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

The Lewis County Dairy Princesses had a wonderful time attending the Turin Fourth of July Parade today! It was great to see so many smiling faces, celebrate our community, and share our love for the dairy industry.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the parade and helped make the day so special. We hope you all have a safe, fun, and happy Independence Day! ❤️🤍💙🥛

Go see Cally ambassador and Zoey at the Turin Highland lodge they have T-shirts games and fill the bucket with milk for June is dairy which helps lowville food pantry get fresh milk for the people they serve.

Attention to any teens who may need community service hours or adults who want to help our group in supporting the dairy industry. We are looking for help in the dairy industry building during fair week taking orders and money, cleaning, as well as serving ice cream, milkshakes, sundaes and more!
