Well my dragon mug went through a second glaze firing and actually came out very well. All the pits and craters mended themselves.... Yay!!!
A couple other items mended well, but a couple didn’t change at all... that is to say, the pits and craters remained.... I still believe it’s due to the coil elements getting too old.

Finally fired this dragon tile with mother of pearl. It turned out well, considering that my kiln is still not firing properly.... I’ve been lengthening the firing time a bit and that seems to be helping. Still have to run a couple more test firings, but I’m pretty sure that I need new elements in my kiln.

Almost done with this dragon tile. Just need to fire it with some mother of pearl on the dragon, clouds and on the edges.

Sadly, this dragon mug developed some pits and craters. I’m going to try firing it again, along with a couple other items that also suffered the same problems. Hope it works, either way, I’ll be starting on another dragon mug.

Well, I’m happy the way my horse mug turned out although a couple other things didn’t do so well in this last glaze fire.
