Okay people, it's getting close. You know what I mean,,,, Jan 2nd, the beginning of ending resolutions.
So start something different, resolve to not call it a resolution, but a way of life.
Begin now.

Self love is important, not selfish.
Make time for yourself.
Be determined and try harder to maintain fitness goals.
Make goals attainable
Don't hate.
Will power is developed, not a trait.
Make room for pleasure

I'm still teaching, committed to a fit way of life. It creates a strong mental history.

Take care of yourself, reach out if you. want to workout.

Good morning everyone,

I’m lovin today it really feels like fall and that it just might be cooling off. The rain would a big help. We’ve reached the holiday season. The monthly calendar has finally caught up with retail. (I’ve been seeing Christmas items in the stores since July). With that said, this is also the season to consume comfort foods and to also pack on those holiday pounds.

You can easily pack on 10-15 pounds during the holiday season. This is easily caused by mindless snacking/eating. The culprits include: the baking, the pot lucks, the freebies and let’s not forget the large meals and very little exercise.

The key to not gaining weight , is portion control and exercise. Don’t deny yourself the wonderful parties and gatherings, just don’t go hungry. Sip water between the holiday drinks. Use smaller plates when eating out. Reach for more veggies instead of the calorie packing carbs. By all means remember to move your body.

I’m still available to help and motivate you through this season. Teaching in Tulare and Visalia,hope to see you soon.

Good morning

It’s almost over. I don’t know about you but I keep getting these subtle reminders that Christmas, (what!?!?) is only this (x) many Fridays away. When I think of Christmas, it reminds me not only of the festivities but also of cold, chills, acute viral infections, bronchitis, respiratory infections and the flu. Sorry to be a downer but it’s a fact. A weakness in the immune system can bring on all these ailments. So let’s try to be proactive, yes even though the temperatures are still in the 90’s.
Some things we can do: 1) exercise, you knew I was going to say it. 2) be proactive about seeing your physicians. 3) make sure your eating foods to fuel your body and boost your immune system. 4) make sure you are drinking plenty of water . 5) get your sleep.
Sounds simple? I wonder how many of you will say this is hard to do? Do your best and start early. How many Fridays till Christmas?
I’m still teaching and motivating… join me if you can. I still have lots of strength and energy. We are doing some fabulous things in class. Constantly challenging the body to perform better and stronger. In fact I would love to see you soon.
