So here’s the deal - passed a certification at work. They land you with a nice lil bonus. And I sunk the majority of that into seeing my favorite female artist LIVE and in style with a VIP pkg.
Got to meet her, give her a lyric bracelet (which she wore through the VIP experience-yes I’ve died 🤩), the Q&A was awesome, she’s so sweet and adorable! The mini set she did of old songs was lit, we got four: BETTER, Salvador Dali, Underdogs and F***y Pack. There was maybe 25 of us so it was intimate and unassuming. Once doors opened, I planted at barricade and was 100% ready for the music to hit. phem was awesome, never heard of her but enjoyed her energy and she promo’d a new song that was fire. Then Royal & the Serpent began and while I already loved the album, the journey she took us on through the music and her story telling was just epic and cyberpunky and all around genius.
We did a mini trip as the show was in Tucson so J n I didn’t have to turn and burn which was very nice.
Her music has gotten me through a lot in recent years so I will never forget this night and the magic she afforded us all.
