The art market acknowledges the final transaction. It rarely acknowledges everything that came before it. Every artwork carries two forms of investment: the visible materials… and the invisible life required to create it. The canvas and paint are easy enough to count. But beneath every finished wo...

Some recent commissions. Waiting for Japanese silk to braid the lanyard for the ocean jasper stone I just wrapped for a client. My son tumbled that stone. The beaded necklace and tree of life labradorite are not my work, but the client wanted to put the cabochon on a reallt long beaded lanyard she had, so I restrung it into 2 necklaces for her with the cab on one. The opalite cab (top drilled) was a client's that she wanted me to wrap in sterling and I added an opalite bead I had. The five necklaces were antique stones my client had that he wanted hung on kumihimo lanyards for young people as gifts... a howlite, marble, jasper, quartzite and scarab, so after I wrapped each, braided the 5 necklaces and added the findings.
