Robert Frank is a stand-up comedian from Detroit MI who tells jokes about relationships, religion, and other topics that start with the letter “R.” He has shared his skewed POV in clubs, bars, coffee shops, lines in grocery stores, basements, and ho**ah bars all over the Midwest, L.A. Toronto, Manchester UK and Dubai. He also produces Laffs in the Lair, the most successful comedy show that takes place in the basement of the Dearborn’s coolest comic book shop.

From the moment Connor Meade entered the Detroit comedy scene she has effortlessly captivated audiences with her curvy jokes. Week after week the midwest has come to count on her to twist our daily experience into punchlines that take aim at everyone from cops to birds. While developing her hard hitting jokes she has quietly become one of Detroit’s up-and-coming producers through her work with the Independent Comedy Club and other local outfits, and flooded the local scene with stage time and unparalleled curatorial power. Mike Eshaq is a comic from Detroit living and working in LA.
Some of his TV credits include being on 'Detroiters' on Comedy Central and 'Grace and Frankie' on Netflix. Also, he’s placed as a finalist twelve times in The World Series of Comedy!

He has a unique angle in his comedy being Middle Eastern, serving as a United States Marine and being a Muslim who can't stop eating bacon.

Johanna is a comedian from Metro Detroit who offers a unique spin on family affairs, heartaches, and bowel movements. Her “in your face” comedy is jam packed with true stories and fake accents. Originally from Peru, Johanna uses her unusual upbringing as fuel for your entertainment. Outside of performing, she is the Co-Founder of Honorary Mentions Comedy Productions along with a producer for 313 Comedy and The Independent Comedy Club.

Johanna is a Laughfest Roast Battle finalist, she has also performed for Bricks & Bridges Comedy Festival, StoopFest 2019, and has opened for comedians Liza Treyger, Stavros Halkias, Nicole Schreiber, and Brody Stevens. This past year she helped produce and performed for Motor City Comedy Festival and successfully toured from Detroit to NYC.

Dan started performing comedy in 2004, at the Second City in Novi, MI. After spending several years performing improv he realized he didn’t like being around people…… on stage, so he started doing stand up and hasn’t looked back. In addition to performing all over southeast Michigan he’s hosted at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle for Gary Meikle, Steve Mcgrew, Billy Ray Bauer, and Matt Holt. He’s also hosted several family members at his home, in case you were wondering.

HailIng from Westland, MI, 35 years old Justin Siekierka has nearly 10 years in the comedy circuit. Whether he is in a local brewery, comedy club, or performing arts theater, his form of self-depreciating humor coupled with his failed love life has been a hit with audiences.

Tonya has a sarcastic and biting style of comedy that includes crisp and hilarious writing with deadpan delivery that leaves you rolling in the aisles. Her take on life as a single woman navigating today’s dating jungle give hysterical insight from one who should know. Tonya has opened for several National Headliners including the RoastMaster General Jeff Ross, Dave Attell & Jim Norton and she’s appeared at Gilda’s LaughFest. Her debut comedy cd titled “It Was My Birthday” is now available online. Not your typical female comedian, her act is a refreshing change from the norm.

A Sterling Heights native now residing as the 53rd funniest person in Grand Rapids, Alex has made a name for himself as an open mic favorite all over West Michigan. A frozen pizza connoisseur and self proclaimed movie snob, Alex brings a blend of observational humor and self deprecation. You might not have seen him before, but now you’ll see him everywhere.

His loud abrasive machine gun deliver is a favorite to crowds all over the midwest. He was accepted into Skankfest 2018 and also released his debut album White Forest Whitaker in 2019. Wes currently resides in Detroit.

Alright gang! We’re back this Friday, 10/18, with Pizza and Hummus Presents: The Spooky Showcase! Doors open at 8:30pm, show is at 9pm! The first comedian spotlight is heavy hitter Shane Dials!

Shane is an upstanding comedian with a genuine and charismatic presence. With a fresh take on anything from technology to relationships, he gets the audience to engage in his stories while explaining his observations of the world around us. Shane performs literally everywhere, including places he shouldn't like funerals, hospitals, and during fights with his wife. Not only is he regularly hitting stages throughout Michigan, but he also runs his own showcases through his company, Seriously Funny Productions. His love comedy doesn't stop at the stage. Shane interviews comedians from across the country every week on “This is Funny, Right?”, his comedy based podcast on iTunes. In his career, Shane has opened for Ian Bagg at Mark Riddley's Comedy Castle and performed at the world-famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles, California, as well as resorts in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Shane was the winner of the Detroit Steam Vodka Comedy Contest and has been featured on Laugh Fest, Paul Bunyan and live laughs comedy festival as well as the Cincinnati Brew Ha HA Comedy Festival.
