Beloved, the voice in this image says, “He was a good man!”—and that is often how the world measures a life. By kindness, by reputation, by what others can see. But the Word of God cuts deeper than human praise.

In Book of Isaiah 64:6 (KJV) it is written:
“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags…”

This is a hard truth: man’s goodness is not God’s righteousness. What we call “good” cannot cleanse sin. What we call “right” cannot justify the soul before a holy God. Even our best works—our charity, our kindness, our morality—are stained when compared to His perfect holiness.

The crowd at the grave may speak well of the dead, but heaven does not judge by applause—it judges by truth.

The verse continues:
“…and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”

Life is brief. Like a leaf, we fall. And sin carries us further than we intended to go.

So what is the hope?

Not in being called “a good man,” but in being a redeemed man. Not in our righteousness, but in the righteousness of Christ. For the gospel declares that what we could not do, Jesus Christ has done—living perfectly, dying sacrificially, and rising victoriously.

Therefore, do not rest in human goodness. Rest in the grace of God.
Do not trust in your works. Trust in the finished work of Christ.

Because in the end, the question is not: “Did men call you good?”
But: “Are you made righteous through Jesus Christ?”

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.”

This reflects the biblical truth that every believer faces a daily spiritual battle against sin. The Bible teaches that sin seeks to control us, but through God we are given power to overcome. 📖🔥

1. Sin Is Always Trying to Rule Over Man

From the beginning, God warned that sin desires to dominate the human heart.

Genesis 4:7 (KJV)

“If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.”

Sin is pictured like a predator waiting at the door, ready to enter the moment we allow it. The quote in the image reflects this exact verse: God commanded that man must rule over sin, not let sin rule over him.

Sin speaks through temptation, through the flesh, through the world, and through the devil. It whispers: “Just once… it doesn’t matter.” But the Word of God says the opposite.

2. The Christian Life Is a Daily Battle

Victory over sin is not a one-time event. It is a daily fight.

Luke 9:23 (KJV)

“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

Every day we must choose:

• obedience or disobedience

• holiness or compromise

• Christ or the flesh

The image showing the lion confronting the serpent symbolizes this conflict. The serpent represents the old nature and the deception of sin.

3. God Gives Power to Resist the Devil

We are not left powerless in this battle.

James 4:7 (KJV)
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Victory comes in this order:

1 Submit to God

2 Resist the devil

3 The devil flees

The devil cannot control a believer who stands firm in the authority of God.

4. God Always Provides a Way to Escape Temptation

Temptation is real, but God promises a way out.

I Corinthians 10:13 (KJV)

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape.”

This means sin is never unavoidable. There is always an escape through:

• prayer

• the Word of God

• walking away

• calling on the Lord

5. The Power of Christ Within Us

The reason we can conquer sin is because God’s Spirit lives in believers.

I John 4:4 (KJV)

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

The power inside a believer is greater than the power of sin, Satan, or the world.

6. The True Way to Conquer Sin
We conquer sin daily by:

• Walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16)

• Filling our mind with Scripture (Psalm 119:11)

• Praying continually (I Thessalonians 5:17)

• Staying close to Christ

The closer you walk with Jesus, the weaker sin becomes.

🔥 Biblical Truth of the Quote:
Sin will always try to rule over you, but through Christ you can rule over it. The battle is real, but victory belongs to those who walk with God daily.

Romans 6:14 (KJV)

“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”

📖 Final Message:
The battle is SIN vs YOU — but if you are in Christ, the victory is already promised.
