I was asked a question the other night by someone who was watching the Halloween show.

“How many lights does the show consist of?”

Fun Fact: The Halloween show consists of 2,782 RGB pixel bulbs.

Sounds like a lot right? Well not quite 😅. There are shows out there running 50-100k+ pixel bulbs or led bulbs if you can imagine that.

As of last night we are officially running the Halloween Light Show. The show will run daily through Halloween from 7pm till around 9:30pm (weather permitting).

There are several options to watch and enjoy the show:

1. Drive up and tune your radio to channel 88.1 FM.
2. Walk up and scan the QR code on the sign behind the mailbox to listen from your mobile device.
3. If the speakers are outside and playing.

Testing went great tonight with everything working. However, it is not officially running just yet. Have to make a few adjustments to current songs and add some more. Stay tune for when it’s officially running!

The Halloween show setup is underway but there is still a lot more to do. Will be going full steam the next two days in hopes to have it fully running Sunday evening.

Update: The goal was to have the Halloween Light Show start on October 1st. However, there has been some set backs. If all goes well and everything is in order, testing will be October 3rd with hopes to have it fully running October 4th- October 31st.

Stay tune for an October 4th update. Hopefully everything is good to go then 🤞🏽

At the Florida MegaMini I ended up winning the raffle for the Light-O-Rama Aurora Core Smart Pixel Controller Board. I just put the assembly together that I got from LOR. It’s alive! Pretty excited about this as just this one controller may be able to run my entire show. Its capabilities seem a bit intimidating but I’m excited to learn what it can do. You are looking at a controller that is just one component of things necessary to synchronize lights with music.
