Bigger isn’t always better. Sometimes small pieces can tell a story in a more intimate way.

This little watercolor of Mr. Crow holding a snowflake necklace is one of those pieces for me. I like to think of winter not as the time when things die, but as nature’s way of telling us to slow down, rest, and get ready to bloom again.

I really loved using salt to create the texture in the background of this piece. It almost looks like little snowflakes falling around the bubble
