🙏😘 THANK YOU, YOU BEAUTIFUL WEIRDOS! 😘🙏
Because of every single person who bought a ticket, showed up, spread the word, worked the show, vended, performed, shared a post, dragged a friend along, or otherwise helped keep this whole ridiculous underground circus moving, we were able to raise $8,000 for Lou Koller of Sick of It All. We made the first $4k donation this past Saturday, and we’ll be making the final $4k donation next week.
That’s not nothing. This has an impact.
That is thousands of people coming together through punk rock, hardcore, weird art, junk shopping, DIY culture, questionable fashion choices, and a shared belief that when one of our own needs help, we show up.
Lou has given a lifetime of music, energy, sweat, and heart to the hardcore and punk community. Sick of It All helped shape the sound, spirit, and attitude of a scene that means a hell of a lot to a hell of a lot of us. Being able to send some support back his way means more to us than we can properly say without getting all emotionally responsible and making everyone uncomfortable.
Thank you to the vendors who filled the room. Thank you to the artists, makers, collectors, food trucks, tattooers, performers, staff, crew, and every beautifully strange human who walked through the doors.
And a MAJOR THANK YOU to and his wonderful for shedding a light on those musicians who have run into life’s obstacles, but have found a way to cope through heavy music. This would not have been possible with them.
Thank you for buying tickets, showing up, and being part of something bigger than just another weekend of loud music and questionable spending decisions.
